" The one that got away " , every fisherman has a few of those . Love catching big fish on ultra light tackle ! That was a nice Striper , agree with other comments , hybrid usually has more broken lines . Don't give up on the chicken livers , somewhere there's a deep , dark hole where ol whiskers has been hangin out for years , just waiting for you 👍👍

The great thing about Nick is he seems just as excited as he was with the first fish he ever caught in his life.

That bass looked more like a Striper. The stripes, on hybrids, are usually broken, those seemed fairly consistent. It is early fall, time for them to start feeding voraciously. There are probably much bigger ones, in that pool, feeding, before winter comes.

Oh, the fish stories you will be able to tell to your grand kids, 😆. I'm sitting in a fast food packing lot, watching trucks towing bass boats at least 2 per minute in the heavy traffic 😀. Your videos really make me want to go fishing with fridge leftovers. Sadly I can bearly move right now and I couldnt lift a pole let alone reel in a fish right now... 😪 I'm going tomarrow for sure. Even if I can't move til Monday afterwords lol. Ya know, I was thinking 🤔 with how muddy and dirty the waters are alot of the time in your videos, why not step up the line? I personally like 20lb berkley vanish fluorocarbon. It is flexible and I've hauled branches and logs that had to be over 20lbs out of places I've fished with it. I use 65lb on my heavier rods for bottom fishing. Straight braid. I end up either hauling in something or having to cut it. And it dosent like to cut 🤣 Heavier line might save you from break offs.
@618Fishing3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the support! That’s a great question. I havnt re-evaluated my line choice in quite some time and I think it might be time to explore some different options. You bring up a good point with the water clarity. Good luck on your fishing adventure!

Man how fun are big fish on ultra light, I mainly fish with light gear just to have a better fight 🎣 So glad you noticed my comment finally with the boiled eggs soaked in cinnamon for 24 hours, Some advice for when you try them... They are a little hard to keep on a hook but here in Australia I use them to catch Murray cod and catfish, Once I can travel again I will be putting some videos up on my channel, Tip; the best way to use the eggs is from a kayak and just drop them gently to the bottom and then move back from the baits, If you are careful you can actually cast them, heaps of people who use them get the bait netting you can buy for soft baits... Awesome video as always Nick hopefully I can make some videos half as decent as you one day 👍🏼
