The moody atmosphere you captured with the grasses and foreboding sky is wonderful! All the best for the new year Suzannah!

The best pic of all of them was the one you took when the rain/snow showers came through. The pic really conveyed the mood of the weather and the light. Though, all your shots were great!!. What you want to do when the wind blows up like that is, if you can put a hook on the centre pole of your tripod, to either hang your bag on the hook or get one of those old calico bags with the draw string and fill it full of sand. That'll act as a counterweight and help keep your tripod steady.

Incredibly sharp images despite the wind speed. Your camera / tripod is great setup / very stable. You nailed this location.

Wonderful to see you enjoing this type of weather (as we say over here (in Norway), "there is no such thing as bad weather"). Being close to the nature on its own premises has to be the driving force when it comes to landscape photography. Love your final image - forground, exposure time, the tree and its composition and the moon :-)

Some nice images really liked the moody one of the two that you were comparing and your last one. It's been a while since I've been to Alness considering it's not that far from my house must take a we trip up. Would be beautiful in snowy conditions... Thanks for sharing

It's a stunning location, it was my first time here and I was blown away by it's beauty. I can imagine it would be stunning, usually Scotland is covered in snow this time of year, it's getting later and later as I visit for the new year. No problem, thanks for the comment :)

I quite enjoyed it actually. And great choice of music. I'd usually skip the intro for the first video but I didn't this time :D. Maybe also because "I felt Scotland..." :D. And made me a bit nostalgic of my second home :)

I no longer fret over the weather predictions,they are wrong more than right?
@FocusFlowBySuzannahMary4 жыл бұрын
It changes a lot, I think unpredictable weather actually makes more interesting photos. A change in the weather or variable weather is a photographers dream. As long as you have the right water proofs! :)
