Hi Roos, lovely alocasia collection, thanks for sharing. I have only two alocasia but love my green frydeck , and am in the hunt for a variegated one. Still waiting for the price to drop more in UK. I love your variegated frydeck. Did you buy it small or big? and do you grow it hydroponically?

Roos your alocasia are beautiful! With ALL my plants I don't own a single alocasia. I can't introduce another genus 😂😂😂 Keep singing girlfriend! And I notice no nail polish... 💅 Always take care of yourself. And then when you can I would appany help with begonias.. specifically sarawak

ah thanks for the reminder! i just was thinking i had some reels/shorts about begonia planned.. haha oops! no nail polish cos i was waiting for a parcel with new ones :) i'm wearing them now! my first ever mooncat polish and ILNP too, they're so pretty. and ordered holo taco for the first time too with friends - so less shipping costs cos those are hiigh to europe

Thank you, so far I'm very stressed but at least I'm getting things done 😅 this weekend is a Dutch holiday where we give each other gifts with a big page (or multiple) of rhymes.. With both my and my boyfriends family so that's a lot of work. But also fun! I feel like I'm starting to catch up

Christmas is time with family again but no gifts, just food and hanging out! And for that my boyfriends parents go away usually so it's his brother, sister + partners and us, pretty chill. My family this year will be the first time with a baby! Last year Christmas my brother told us they were pregnant 🥰

I definitely recommend starting with something like zebrina or cuprea, they're much easier than others!

Beautiful Alocasia collection! Do you have any advice for when the stems grow too long and become wobbly? I have a few that keep toppling over and don’t fit into any pot. Should I cut them back to soil level and let them regrow, or would repotting them as deep as possible be a better solution?

I have done both - repotting deeper is the first quick solution, I also made a video about airlayering the cuprea and cutting it and repot

I didn't notice very many grow lights, if any...Maybe your alocasia would do better if you had some. All of mine are still going strong and not going dormant.

@@verrettjared I have a ton haha but not on the Alocasia, I also have big south facing windows that they used to live in (but not very well insulated so maybe the cold was the issue there
