additional comment repotting into a deeper pot(not wider) can help with big aloes(mine is a foot and 1/2 tall and was tipping cause her roots were pushing her up, now shes happy and grew another 3 inch)

Great advice! I didnt realise you can literally leave it unwatered for a month! And it makes so much sense that the drooping leaves are because they have too much water in. Thanks a lot :)

Thanks for all the info. The more the better. I had a monster plant that broke and now struggling with the divided portions. Will be getting to work on repairing the issues today!!

I grow Aloe to be about 1 foot tall with wide leavs and base by rotating pots 90 degrees about every month. Result is 360 degree rotation every 4-6 months. Builds them stout. Your video was pretty good. 🪴

I find aloes get really big in the summer with lots of light then winter happens and it starts dropping because not enough light consistent thru the year. That's the real battle! I also water very sparsely, perhaps too sparse. Have found that dribbles of water more regularly is more preferred than deep watering where it takes too long for the soil to dry, leading to rot. Happy planting!

Great information, easy to grasp the meanings of what I'm doing wrong, Thank you 😊

Thanks for posting. Mine has been in the same spot for years. Suddenly, it started drooping so I thought, being winter, it didn't have enough water. 2 weeks later, no difference. Gave it more water but none draining out the bottom as usual. Today, I just put it outside in the shade. Maybe it's just time. When you say without further ado, you are actually saying everything you said before that is worthless and trivial information.

My aunt used to tie the leaves with a string to help them from drooping. Will that help also or would you advise against that?

So sometimes, Alice get really long stems because they're just monsters and they've lived for a while. I was actually looking for a solution to that problem.

U should used a bigger pot. Store pple put them in the small pot just for selling them not for u to grow them into it. Bigger pot make the aloe happier.

I have my significant other to thank for my love of succulents, and I genuinely do mean THANK ☺️ because I was one of those people with a “black thumb” before, I was completely unable to keep any plants alive. I literally killed them all 😂😂😂 Cacti and other succulents are easier. They may have a couple drawbacks, but overall I feel they have a *lot* more “pros” than “cons” #HellYeahSucculents!

dont put them in doors in a south window, too much light, east is best indoors or grow lights, and NO they will not grow from a leaf, it will rot in soil, doesnt work, dont waste your time

I only have north and south facing windows. It currently in the north facing window and is soft and droopy. What should i do? Do i move it and risk it getting brown tips?

I have a “monster aloe”, she’s about 18” tall, her core is all wiggly, she’d flop right over if I let her (happened overnight 🙁) (supported by large water bottle currently) but she’s had many pups this year so can’t be too unhappy. Will try @iliciawild3883 ‘s advice of a taller pot, but dunno when to repot because of pups/babies. But wanna save/help the Mama. Any advice?
@yippehanako Жыл бұрын
Pull off the pups and you can repot them in their own pot as long as there is root attached (even just 1 or 2)
