Before my father passed away, the California was my parent’s hotel of choice while staying in Vegas. I remember getting up early numerous times to get oxtail soup at the Market Street Cafe.

That is so sweet. I love, love, love oxtail soup. My parents are British and Oxtail soup was always made for us (here in Canada) if we were not well but needed iron. Sweetness!

You missed out on the Loco Moco (Rice, hamburger patty, fried egg with gravy.) Breakfast of Champions. 🤣 I like Aloha Specialties, it is like just home cooking style Hawaiian plates.

I'll be meeting my cousins there in 6 days. I have not seen them in over 50 years, I'm coming from Texas, they're coming from Hawaii. We all grew up in Hawaii on a sugar plantation which no longer exists. This will likely be my last trip to Vegas or anywhere. I can no longer travel due to health reasons. It's like magic for me that you've highlighted the exact place where we'll be meeting. I hope I also get to meet you. I'm 20 years older than you. You'll find me to be an older version of you and now you know why I'm a fan.of yours!

Looks delicious. Reminds me of a dish at a restaurant that opened in West Covina Calif in the 80s. It was called Yoshinoya beef bowl. A bit different with rice, thin strips of beef and beef broth but it was terrific. Worked next door and had it many times.

Hey danny, I love the looks and prices at this place. It's funny that what you ordered even if you had ordered extra teriyaki sauce + that gravy, you would still be under the price of a cheeseburger, I think. And a basic cheeseburger was under a tenner, that's unheard of in Las Vegas these days. Thanks for showing the California.

I just had dinner at Chef Kenny Vegan Chinese Restaurant in Vegas (there are two locations, both good). The fake crispy beef was so good. The veggies are excellent, too. I wonder if you would try it in the future. The wait staff speak Cantonese.

Another downtown Las Vegas place you are reviewing looks very good. I lived in Japan as a young boy from 1950-1956 and all the rice we had then, was short grain and sticky! Now, most rice is not. What happened?

Buy Japanese brands of rice. Not all rice is the same, like tomatoes, eggplants, or even other grains. Google is a good resource.

I think you might benefit from AG1 supplement...see if they can sponsor your videos. I think drinking matcha each morning will help move things along ( if you catch my drift). Vegetables are very important for gut health, and in general. Meat and starch will keep you bloated oh make some chia pudding super easy and is full of fiber!

Don't know about mixing teriyaki sauce with brown gravy but like they say, don't knock it till you've tried it. Never tried dining at the place and don't think I ever will. Being from Hawaii, the last thing I want to eat is Hawaiian food when I'm in Vegas.
