I wish I had a camper like yours. Been married almost 35 years and we did everything for the kids. We were parents before we got married in April 1988. So all these years the kids took precedent, over any vacation. We didn't even go on a honeymoon. Many years later, we took an overnight without kids. We had a blast. Since then we decided to drive to Missouri to visit my son's family. First time driving to Missouri, we stayed in hotels. But then decided to sleep in hubby's Honda Civic. Then COVID hit and we haven't gone anywhere. Plus medical reasons.. But now I have a bigger vehicle. A Nissan rogue. So I think it's time to start making small trips out, without the kids.. (ages 24, 25 and 30 still living at home). I think this would be great for us to maybe rekindle the love we had way back when. You and Tanya are so cute together.. I hope you guys come home to Mass one day so I can meet you. You 2 are amazing together. I love your videos and Tanya's cooking and her dancing. She is always happy.. Love you guys.. from 1 New Englander to the next.. Happy Camping

to better insulate the camper i found a trick for you to do, buy a blue tarp length and width of the camper and also up front , back , and sides up to the mid or top of the doors, this will wind rom blowing under the truck causing the cold to enter under the truck, . i did this last week in yosemite on the trailer not the truck and the different was 20 degs warmer, ! i did the plywood around the sides and under the trailer back last year in rawlins , wy on a job site and the different was 25 degs warmer, i glued 2" insulate white foam to the plywood and it was great . not one time did i used the propane heater, outside was 5geds, and inside was 30 degs? also i carry a piece of plywood and place it in front of the radiator to warm the engine from the cold air blowing into the engine,! .

LOL Minnesota cold weather driving tip: No matter how good your van's heater works, wear a winter coat, hat, and gloves when driving in that kind of weather because if the worst happens (knock on wood), and you end up in a wreck where you are: pinned in your vehicle or knocked out or thrown out of the vehicle, you won't have hypothermia and frost-bite complicating the situation. I actually knew a guy who survived a winter wreck with only minor scrapes and bruises. He climbed out and started walking toward a farm house but died of hypothermia before he could get there-because he wasn't wearing a coat and hat.

Yes, to the recipes and cooking experiences. One of my favorite things to do when camping is to cook over an open fire pit. This is the only way my wife can get me to cook...hahah. Your body makes enough heat, you just need the right gear to retain it. I have a TETON Sports Celsius XL Sleeping Bag that is rated to -25F. I get the XL so I can put my regular flannel sleeping bag inside it when needed. If for some reason you are in -60F, you can put a space blanket between the 2 sleeping bags to retain more heat. Don't sleep with the space blanket on you, you will sweat and then freeze when you come out. Baffin Titan boots are comfort rated to -148F.

My goodness. I had to get under my electric throw watching all that snow. I do have a question, about 5 years ago my brother went on a ski trip with my sister. They went to Breckenridge Co. On the second day he experienced dizziness and nausea. He has no history of high blood pressure and he went to a urgent care facility. He was diagnosed as having altitude sickness, which is quite common in that region. Have either one of you ever suffered with that. If not what did you do to avoid it? Desert Snow no longer have the heating issues with that code appearing on that panel? Keep on exploring new areas and showing us these majestic vista's. I myself am unable to travel but I don't feel cheated because thanks to you guys you are taking us to these beautiful areas. ❤ Many thanks for sharing these videos and gathering these memories for yourselves. I'm literally SO JEALOUS of u both. I live in Cleveland Ohio where we use to get snow all the time, but the last few years we have barely gotten any snow and if we do it either don't stick or we get just an inch. It's such a bummer. I'd love to go make memories playing in the snow, sled riding with my 7 yr old while she's still young, build a snowman etc. When I was little we use to get so much snow

Lost power and gas truck couldn't make it up the driveway during the -25 cold snap a few weeks ago here in Northern NY. No oil burner, no gas equals 30 degrees in the house for about 72 hrs. Even the wood stove only did so much, had to put up blankets and cordon off one room. Talk about fun, lol. 3 pipes popped and water everywhere when they thawed, I love winter!!! Definitely my fault, I was working so much OT that I didn't prepare correctly. Always a first.
