I just finished watching season 6. As soon as I saw your background my wife and I knew you were special, but man, when we saw how you thought, prepared everything and started stacking food we knew you were going to win. We saw right through the editors attempt to make it look like you were struggling-your face had not even changed, you were thriving. And the way you killed that Wolverine-that was wild! You dominated that show, Jordan. May The Lord continue to bestow His blessing upon you and your family.

For the most part, the Alone winners seem to be operating at a higher level than those who don't win. I'd love to watch an Alone series where they revisit the unseen footage of just the winners. Like Clay out there widdling kitchenware which was skipped. Jordan was always so positive. We didn't get enough Rockhouse Welker building & I'd like to hear more of Alan's stream of consciensness. Great show - great people.

For the production crew, you being on Alone was like a superbowl where one team wins by 49 points, they had to work hard to make it look close. No disrespect to the other contestants or other seasons as they're probably all tougher than me, it's just that with expertise "there are levels" and you're on another one. It'd be good to see you, Roland and a few others go head to head, of course that might not be the best for ratings but it'd probably make for some amazing display of skills.

Watching Alone I realized that most of us are living lifes so distant from our true nature as humans. Just from being out in Nature I noticed how it can help me and make me feel more at peace with reality. I have never experienced what its like to truly live off the land but although I know that it is not easy I think I would absolutely love it. How were you able to get access to this footage? After watching all of Alone, you had the strongest situation at the end of the season. Most of the credit goes to your skills but if you hadn't had a moose, deep water access for fishing and a healthy hare population in your territory, it would have been more difficult. It would have been interesting to see how your session would have been in Patagonia or another area with less game. But in my book, you were the best contestant on the whole series.
@hobojordo Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I appreciate that...Yeah there is no doubt that if the show was done in a location where there was no access to resources, i wouldnt win a starving contest. Thats partly why I took such a proactive approach, but there is risk in that. I do think that on most specific sites up there in NWT i could of found a way forward...be it fishing, trapping, hunting (bear, moose, and ox)...ultimately i was able to figure out all three of those, and certain locations may of restricted my potential for 1 or 2 but I think I could unlock the puzzle out up there in most locations. That said, different locations all together could be a different story. Season 8 was like that: where territories were really hit or miss for game, fishing was heavily regulated, and lots of trapping was prohibited. That leads to a situation where there was really only one viable path and that was if you happened to have the right sized deer on your territory (not all were on the kill list from what I understand, but only certain sized bucks) . Once you add all those handicaps it really affects your ability to adapt and thus pigeonholes everyone into only one option which may or may not be available. Why i liked the NWT for this show was that there are multiple routes to sustainability, which while not guaranteed or easy, put more control of their fate into the hands of the contestant and less into location luck/body fat.

Hey Jordan, I really enjoyed your performance in the 6th season. Do you think you could beat Roland from season 7?
@hobojordo Жыл бұрын
Well if both seasons would of been left to run as long as possible, I think I had more food stored and more diverse sources going into the winter.. but you never know what a person might get later. That said, I could of still shot a musk ox, and I heard from the lodge guys that a few weeks after the show ended is traditionally when they migrated through my territory. Really I have no way of telling the future, the only indication I have is that he thought getting to 100 days would be impossible for anyone else and was almost unachievable, whereas I think it’s totally doable if you can manage to unlock diverse food sources. So the difference when one person thinks a challenge is fairly attainable, and someone else thinks almost impossible speaks to something. But in a future matchup you jut never know what would happen as there are too many variables. Myself, clay, and Roland all could make it indefinitely or we could each fail in some unpredictable way.
@gwang-mu9251 Жыл бұрын
@@hobojordo Of course there are variables but I definitely think you could take them on and beat them. I wish they would do a special season with just the winners. It would be pretty rad!
