Your whole life is so beautiful and peaceful (even in stressful moments. Lol.) Favorite moment? There are several but I feel what stood out the most is the quiet moments you and Jake share. I just love the life you three have literally carved out and created in Komorebi. So rich and abundant. Out of all of it, an odd observation. I srsly love watching you guys and those you introduce throughout this adventures of yours. It’s VERY rare to see a couple now days just doing their thing without bashing on others unlike the many pretentious off-girders in YT. No pressure, you don’t advocate anything in particular which is great. Off/on grid living the choice is for everyone as it should always be. Too many do gooders now days who has a taste of this sorts of living which then goes on an never ending rants/raves on how this way is the only way blah blah and if one doesn’t do this then they are failing in life as if they have it all sorted out. Also not going all Rambo crazy with self protection 24/7 is very admirable. I’m sure it’s a factor but the way you guys approach things such as is just wow… 👏🏻 Showing the wins along with the inevitable loses are just as important which is awesome to see/learn from. My hat off to you and your adventures. More power to you and hope ya’ll have the real McCoy for what you’ve established here! 👌🏼

Hello Jake and Nicolle!! I have watched all your videos from arriving at Kemorebi and onwards. I’m starting Off Grid Nicole now. Question for you about your hauntingly beautiful music you play by Amarante. I went to his site but the music has singing (gasp!)!! I would love to find the music without words. By the by, I am living vicariously through you. When my sis and I were in grade 4 and 2, my parents moved us to northern Alberta from Calgary into a rustic a-frame. We had a proper wood burning stove (huge and heavy!), and a pot belly wood burning firepit that closed up. No water, power, sewer, and the A frame had one bedroom and a loft where my sis and I slept. We chopped holes in the ice in the winter (my Dad used a chain saw) to haul water to us, and it had to be boiled to be safe and kill all the bugs in the water (shudder). We had an outhouse that was close to the a-frame and a “pot” to pee in if needed during the night. It was a homestead. My parents weren’t wanting to continue that hard life while both worked full time in towns (separate) at least 45 mins away. We moved to another homestead with a trailer so we had a well dug, which was awesome until our pet lamb, Uggins, ate the insulation around the well and the pump froze. Back to hauling water, canner baths, but we did have electricity (yay!). My Dad was an awesome MacGyver with all sorts of things and problems! This is why I love watching you two. My Sis and I lost our Mum 3 years ago and our Dad only 3 months ago today. I LOVE that there are new generations willing to do the work for what they believe in, live by. Thank you for sharing bits of your life with us!! 🤍🤍🤍
