Your use of the 360 camera on the small boat created such visually interesting shots. Capturing the boat, people and surroundings/ landscape. Able to capture the moment in an elegantly simple creative way. Great stuff! The sense of movement you create when both the boat and camera is moving is super interesting

The perfect choice of camera for the space you were working with and the story you were trying to tell. Check the shots at 15:11 - 15:55 and 12:25 - 12:42. So cool. Start middle and end kind of film making. So rad 🔥

I'm so glad that right away, you explained that you flew to the states and then travelled to the Canadian wilderness... I had to double check to see that I was watching a recent video, then came the explanation. I'm glad you were able to check out your friends home... and that you took us along. It was stunning. Having grown up in the northwest, I can hardly wait for the next segment.

So cool you four know each other. Started watching Jake and Nicole when they first started off grid. So fun. Learned a lot with them. Then I started watching this couple that took a salvaged boat and started rebuilding it, sailing it throughout the Caribbean then across the Atlantic. So proud of your daring, intuitive younger generation. Just wish I could be 40 years younger and that I knew what I know now then. And the winning lotto numbers wouldn't hurt either. Keep it up,waiting for the hour special.

What a treat. This is the true definition of a small world. I don't subscribe to a lot of channels, but Expedition Evans was my first, and a close second was Off the Grid with Jake and Nicole. Love to see the process of fixing your main sail prior to replacement. Bet it won't hold a candle to the emergency repair at sea.

I did that , only once, on a commercial crab boat. In a fairly rough 3 meter quick rolly sea. Off the shores of Humboldt Bay in FAR north California Redwood country. I didn't get sea sick until they mentioned they would be able to give me coffee with whisky, and just the smell of their whiskey made me a little weasy but not actually sea sick. That was their plan, to see me sea sick. My great grand father arrived here in 1906 on my moms side, on Dads side probably about 1850. A wild and wooley place back then. It was isolated but for the sailing boats up and down the coast. Eventually a railroad was put in. RE the crabs, I learned that we had to sex them and I believe keep only the males ? I've eaten crab even as a baby. Its quite possibly my favorite seafood ! In Australia they even eat Mud Crabs ! Wow, crab sushi ! Delish ! We have a huge mushroom season for the favorites in Japan, but its a cold weather season in the wilderness of Humboldt and Siskiyou counties. Mazataki ?

The first thing any new parent should learn is to make sure their newborn can fall asleep thru any kind of noise. Now that she's learned the world she be very very quiet in order for her to fall asleep, and with each & every new sound she will have to wait until there is total silence before going to sleep. Which means, you can't have your friends or family over because they will make too much noise.
