I’m assuming you bought the soap with your credit card which is connected to your phone in some way if that’s an app or whatever, but your phone will take into account the date you purchased the soap so that’s probably why you saw an ad for soap because they know how long ago you bought it and that you probably need a refill soon. Okay the same thing happened to me and my co workers yesterday - re the soap. There was a moisturizer on the ground that had fallen out of somebody’s bag in a hotel lobby and I go “omg that’s an expensive one too, I have the same one at home that sucks” and then my co worker picked it up and put it on top of the nearest trash can (in case maybe someone came back for it idk). I didn’t say the brand of it out loud - all we did was comment on it being an expensive moisturizer. 5 hours later my co worker who didn’t even speak or comment on it gets an ad on her phone for the exact moisturizer. And she’s never heard of this brand before, and doesn’t shop at Sephora or anything. I don’t know understand how the phone was able to do that.
