I like this answering questions format much better than the LIVE Q & A with many repeated questions or nonsense questions. This way you can weed those out & choose intelligent questions that we'd all be interested in. Ty!

Have you ever watched Simple Living Alaska? Alaskan couple whive been living in Alaska for 4 or 5 years? They have lots of tips and ideas. They hunt, fish, forage and grow their own food. Very informative channel worth checking out. Looking forward to more videos as always!

Good morning Alone, this is a very enjoyable video, mainly because I was in it, lol just kidding. It is real informative. It's nice your cabbages grew bigger. I enjoy seeing the scenery that you use, it brings back some memories of places I have seen. Thank you so much for the really nice shoutout you gave me and the pictures. The Navy picture you showed, I was 17 and now you can see how cruel time can be with looks, lol. Thanks again and I will give some thought to the Meet The KZbinr.

Good afternoon, Alone. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE all the cooking tips, tricks, information and knowledge you share. I’m soon to be 56 and will NEVER get tired of hearing others share what they have learned or experienced throughout life. I can cook a decent meal yet still enjoy seeing how others create their meals. There’s always something to learn from others if we’re listening to learn. I will say any video you make from inside of your cabin rather it’s you just living in the moment or sitting and chatting like this one is a favorite. I love the feeling it brings of making me feel like I’m in the cabin as well. You’re a wonderful person for helping others trying to build their channels. I’ve subscribed to a few because of your suggestion. Well wishes to you. You deserve so many more subscribers!!! Your work is phenomenal and the im here for the “out takes”… They are comical.

I know most of us would never attempt to do what you are doing, but in these times we are all having to find ways to live in less. Especially seniors. Would love to hear more of your advice to all of us. Your videos are amazing. Thank you for sharing.

Winter sure comes early to Alaska Alone. But it looks like you are prepared. I get what you are saying about the reason you started making videos. Yes, pretty much like you I do for family too. Some day perhaps our grandchildren will get to learn more about who we were. Thank You for the very kind words and sharing once again The Pungo Prairie! I know the others appreciate you for sharing their channels as well. Very sweet of you to do. I haven’t made a video since Spring. I have had a major construction project I’ve been working on for a few hours each day, working lots of hours at the restaurant and trying to help my sister take care of our Mom who is 96. I will upload another video soon to share some of the highlights from this past summer. Not sure I will make it back to my mountain camp this Fall for having to help out with Mom & all. Love your videos Alone. And again, Many Thanks to You!

Oh my gosh, Alone...I feel like I haven't "seen" you since spring! Summer has been SO busy. But things here are starting to wind down- i loaded another "face cord" (thats how they sell firewood here) into the barn yesterday and Nov 3 is my last sidewalk cookie cart day for the season. Ill be glad to have more time to make longer videos myself; i do enjoy the longer format! Very interesting about YT algorithms and so on. Still love your cooking though- my favorite one is still the chai tea method from way back lol. Those other channels are great btw, and its thanks to you that I, and others, get to peek into their very cool lives. Big hugs Alone! (Btw that "get a cat" wallpaper bit was genius and super funny!)

Great Morning Annie, love today's video. Love that weather wish I was there. I'm not trying to tell you what to do but other people on here to videos and what day do their show and then they do a little bit of cooking at the end. And they do quite well, it may only be a five-minute part of their 30-minute video and they do it almost daily. Anyway it was great to see you today. Wishing the best in the next following week. LOVE'S

I also eat those big outer cabbage leaves. Like you, I find them to be even better tasting after a frost. Cabbage is a very heavy feeder. I grew much bigger heads when I recently started to feed them a little every week. It really made a difference. Gardening is so much fun because I learn something new every year.

Norways national dish is so simple and good. Just layers of cabbage and lamb, water, add salt, pepper and a sprinkle of flour to thicken the sauce, serve with boiled potatoes. We have this every fall. 😊 Speaking of winter, expecting the first heavy snowfall on Monday morning. Getting my steel studded tires on my car this Friday. I just hope for a little less snow this season, by easter I had over 2 meters of snow on the ground. It covered the frame of my plastic green house. It didn't break, until the storm "Hans" destroyed it this summer. 🙃 I have a new dog after loosing my last dog about a month ago. She has never been with a cat. It has been a couple of days of barking and hissing, and staredowns, but today it is calm. They will adjust, believe me. And the cat is doing her job of keeping the property clear of mice.

I think you did great for the first year in the garden. It looks like you could use some moose poo and some composted fishy remnants but it looks balanced. mine in the second year I couldn't get one root crop to do well. but my garden is a hugelkultur garden and I have three horses with unlimited poo. so I kind of stacked the odds it wouldn't do well there. I'm going to do another garden for the roots. everything else did really well. One of my problems is timing. I just have a hard time figuring out when to plant everything but I noticed when I hit the timing right it does really well.

I haven't commented much on your videos, I don't know why. I am usually a Chatty Kathy I do LOVE them, just know that. I also love snow and winter and being cosy. But I live in Costa Rica. That decision was made because I got old. Indiana winters of sleet and ice do not suit me now. I don't fall because of the ice anymore. But too many Margaritas just might put me on my Bum. I love your lifestyle as I love being alone too. I understand. Thank you so much for letting us visit with you. I appreciate it so much.

Hi Alone, this is my first time commenting on your channel. I just found you on utube this past Monday and I've been watching them non-stop ever since. I'm watching episode 73 right now and you are living my dream. I'm 71 years old, I've wanted to go to Alaska ever since 1960 when my parents got National Geographic. I would read it before anyone else read it and searched for anything about Alaska. I watch Home Free Alaska and Simple Living Alaska on a regular basis. When I found your channel I have been hooked. Watching it from the start is amazing because right now I can watch episode to episode and keep going. Can't wait so see what happens next in episode 73 going forward. Thank you so much. I wish I could afford to join, maybe I can fit it in my budget starting in November.

My cat is a Ragdoll & she is sassy, we affectionately call her “Madam Sparkles”. She runs the house, until I said yes to a Boarder Collie who was a 5 week rescue. Initially Sparkles was curious, she even moved him by picking him up & she would groom him. Once Jax the rescue settled in his little personality came out & boy is he mischievous. Now Sparkles follows him around but won’t sleep with him & she either loves on him or she meows at him. They have a love hate relationship but Jax is always going & making sure she’s ok. Mixing a cat & dog can be risky but I’ve only had good experiences once they settle down. I’m just sharing not putting pressure in you Hun. It’s not for everyone. Xx

Good Mornin' Alone, Thank you for the beautiful scenery shots in amongst everything. Boy, you sure did get a lot of questions answered! .. That's the pits about the damp firewood; but as usual, you've seemingly. seamlessly (huh?) found a solution. I'm loving the mouse loving owl! Hope he decides to stick around. I'd read that they're a good alarm system for unwanted human strangers too. Like with our house critters, you just get used to their sounds and then recognize anything off beat from that. Congrats on the good haul from your garden this year.. Already looking forward to your next video. Love to you and Kenai

Big leaves baked stuffed cabbage rolls!!!! My bear scat looked like a smaller cow pie!!!! I think my bear is vegetarian because the little freezer he broke into he ate only about 12 2# bags of frozen potatoes and about 12 bags 16oz bags of assorted cheeses. Took 1 small bite out 2 pieces of beef meat (thank goodness). Then he left me a "gift." You probably kno not to cover garden with plastic as plastic attracks frost!!!!! Snow was predicted for a week from now but is gone from forecast for now!!!!! I do love thst you put the written recipe in your vids. I really hate it on channels that dont!!!! I also recommend your channel as much as possible!!!!

That place is absolutely breathtaking and if i could afford it id definitely move there because like you id enjoy doing all the stuff it takes to make it out there. I guess just the people who dont dream it dont have any idea how much you dont mind the hard work its the payoff that overtakes all of that. Just a note, as far as Sasquatch stories, I have listened to Dixie Cryptid, Buckeye Bigfoot and Sasquatch Chronicles. All three are good quality but Sasquatch Chronicles is the only one who has the actual people telling their stories with Wes asking questions. It is so interesting and some are so very scary. I suggest listening to the "Paramedic Encounter", for one. They have stories from park rangers, hunters, law enforcement, over 800 episodes.

In the past I have been providing sneak peeks of the videos to the channel members a day or two prior to the full video is released to the general audience. Currently I am providing an early release of the full video to my members. These are made available to the members on Wednesdays each week, via a Members Only Community Post. Be sure to check out previous members only community posts, as there is a link in there for a playlist of videos that I created of ambient sounds to relax to. These are on another channel of mine, that is not viewable by the general public and the videos are only available to members. Thank you again for your membership! 🤗🐺💗

Did you grow sweet potatoes? The greens from them are so good in soups & stews. Sweet potatoes great for your fur baby too!

You could create pivoting lids with pvc pipes and plastic over your garden boxes. If you have watched the Boss of the Swamp, you have most likely heard him talk about how cucumbers do better under cover. There's a lot of added pollution in the air from aerial spreading or seeding. They have also wanted to spread sulfuric acid which basically creates acid rain. So it's important to protect your garden from fallout. I planted some cucumbers outside and only a couple small cucumbers have developed. One has been around 2 inches long for months now. We have lived here for a super long time. So it's easy to see the differences here specifically. A lilac bush lost it's leaves during the summer and then tried to regrow. It has developed pitiful tiny flowers now. The flowers are out there in Oct. Family members with lilac bushes have the same thing happening from a mile away to 20 minutes away. So it's something more widespread. Also, does your cabin shadow your plants? Probably full sun exposure is important to get the really big plants in AK. I'm not going to tell you to get a cat like everyone else. Get a cute little vicious terrier that is driven by extinct to kill rats and mice. The owl footage was cool. We once had an owl attack a rabbit right behind our house and the rabbit was very loud.

Hi You talked about freezing cream in the cardboard they came in. They have changed the packaging (where I live)to a thick plastic bottle, have you tried to freeze cream in that situation?, did it work?. Just wanted also say, I love winter too!! I come from South Island New Zealand, but live in a very hot country where the summer is very long🤨 So a little jealous of you right now 😉, have a nice week!.
