That is a tree structure and that's made by Sasquatch. It's to indicate their territories. Remember you found the dead birds? And then also remember you heard the sounds on your roof last winter? I know it sounds crazy but those are all the classic signs. They also do tree bends.

Lots of people from your state with experiences. If you want to see your subs soar, mention your experiences (if any) in a video. So many people are having encounters with them lately.

I have been buying powdered heavy cream. I prefer Anthony’s brand, good flavor, easy to mix with warm water. I mix up one pint at a time. I have a few pint and quart glass bottles shaped like the old fashioned bottles from the dairy. Both items from Amazon. The powdered cream keeps for quite a while unopened and after opening I keep it in an airtight glass jar in the refrigerator. There are no additives, ingredients list only cream solids.

Hi Alone, very informative video. I just want to mention, that is not Bear scat or Big Foot poop. It's Moose poop, this time of the year Moose don't excrement pellets. It's from eating an array of leaves, aquatic plants and young twigs. This makes their droppings wetter and become clumps. Eventually, it will turn into the pellets you normally see. Bear scat are small solid clumps on top of each other.

Always love to see video of your area - it's incredibly beautiful. Love the update on the garden, too. I didn't get to do any gardening this year. I would consider the 6-month haul a triumph; you've planned well, you've managed resources/time well and you have stored up your pantry very well. I know once that garden starts producing, that pantry will be bursting at the seams. (even more so than it already is!) Also - THANK YOU for pointing out the additives in the Great Value heavy whipping cream. We use a lot of heavy whipping cream here and I have never thought to look at ingredients. I will now! It's a sad world when even heavy whipping cream has other ingredients. ALSO - I LOVE your plaid skirts. They look thick, warm and comfortable. I do a lot of sewing, and I was recently looking at patterns on sale and I was looking for a good skirt pattern similar to that. I see the practicality and use in that style, plus it just looks fabulous. But I didn't see anything that suited my fancy. Maybe when another brand of patterns go on sale. Well, look at me go in the comments section, writing a tiny book to you. :) Email upcoming to fill you in on the LAST YEAR! Take care - keep living your best life there in Alaska, and please keep sharing it with us. ---- Nance
@AloneinRemoteAlaska Жыл бұрын
Hi Nance! So glad you liked the video. The garden did surprisingly well considering the lack of water and sunlight. I am pleased with my haul even though it was not tremendous. I have a long way to go on managing the pantry and food stores. I have never put much thought into long term food storage, as I have always been one to buy what I will consume in 6 months' time. Now I am finding that I have items that have been on shelf or in the freezer for well over a year or two! 😳 Time to get busy canning and doing long term food storage for dry goods. I don't know why I didn't look at the back of the label on the other container I showed in this video, but it also contains carrageenan. After doing some research on this additive, I am not as put off by it as I was at first. Turns out that is a natural derivative of red seaweed, that acts as a gelling agent. Why heaving cream needs a gelling agent added is beyond me. 🙄 Thanks for the compliment on my skirts. Most of them are wool and were purchased off of Amazon surprisingly enough. The majority of them are just a two panel A frame skirt, but the brown tweed one that sits high on my waist is made with on full front panel and two in the back and has an elastic waistband. This is my favorite skirt. They are all fully lined which adds to the warmth and fullness. I hope you find a pattern that you like and get some time to make some for yourself. Looking forward to the email to catch up. Thanks again for watching the video and commenting. Much appreciated. 🤗🐺💗

Nice to go fishing. Trouts are protected from mid September here, until end October, so they can go up lakes and rivers to spawn. I had so many plans this week, but I got a not so nice souvenir on my London trip last weekend. I have been really sick with C-19. To top it off, I passed the XX over to my sons as well. People say that this is just like another cold, let me tell you, it is not! Try to avoid at all cost! 😅Not a good week. 🤒 Great potato harvest! After my plastic greenhouse was damaged in a storm, most of what I had there was damaged, as we have had so much rain this summer. Flooding even on my elevation. The ground was filled with water, so my sewage system didn't work. It cleanses the liquids into the ground, but the ground was filled with water, and the waste water had nowhere to go, and just filled up the tank again. Had it emptied twice... I might have to move it, as location is not the best, if we get more summers like this. Water comes into the drainage of the sewage from the hills above.

Beautiful scenery as always. Big foot? If they exist today I would have to hypothesis that they would migrate with the berries and that is why people say that they see them or evidence of them in different places and times of the year. And why during bad berry growing years they are trying to scare people away more so that they have enough to eat. I have faith that you will get your fresh fish.
