I love to thrift store shop and have a gard time getting rid of things. However, I think there are worse things in life I could be doing. I pass along good finds to others and donate back to thrift stores. I like how you value motherhood and homemaking. I used to work outside the home and am so much happier being at home with my children. I enjoy watching your mom's videos too. Her kindness and patience is inspiring. Thank you for sharing your life with us.🩷

I've been working to declutter things and your videos always act as a reminder that i can get rid of things.

Hi Charity and sweet family! When you have a little one you just have to do what you can when you can. You have done really great decluttering Charity. Have a very blessed day!

🎉 Don't know if I said it in my other post; but, you are doing fantastic at decluttering. You will feel so good when you get rid of your piles on the floor, and send everything you decluttered off. Hope you get well and are able to enjoy Christmas 🎄🎁

You're inspiring me to go through my stuff and declutter! Thank you! It's no fun, but it's so worth it!

Great job decluttering! Try not to buy much at the thrift stores. When we see great deals, we buy...but stuff piles up so quick. I am in the same boat. ❤

I have a rule, nothing comes in without something going out. You are doing great at decluttering, it will feel so good when you get to where you want to be. ❤ I have also started to get rid of things that show a lot of wear and tear. I too love to use the library. Books are so expensive to only use 1 or 2 recipes. And the price of going to aovie is crazy. Love borrowing DVDs.

Charity, I personally wouldn’t let anyone else tell me what I need to do. You and Collin are adults and you two do what you two want. You both know what you need. I found it rude to speak of you or your mother in such a negative way. Sometimes a great deal is too much to pass up. I bought a new microwave for $7. I do not need it at the moment, but probably never have the chance to buy at that price again. I can give as a gift. You remove as you obtain. Did you know OUAC will buy your baby accessories as well as clothes? I think you are doing a better job as a wife and mother than you think you are. May God continue to bless you and your family. ❤ 🤗

what about a small storage unit for the bigger items and extra stuff for now.

Storage in our area is really expensive and it would be cheaper to just buy new/used when we need it rather than rent a storage unit. Plus renting one isn't dealing with the root cause of the problem which wouldn't be helpful for us long term.

Oh Charity. You have inherited that hoarding honestly. How I wish you could experience more things in life, such as a career, traveling, Broadway shows, restaurants, etc. You are only young once.

I appreciate it but I am perfectly happy and content in my little town with people that I know and have grown up around. I've visited big cities and I don't like them and even when given the chance, I prefer simplicity over extravagance. As for a career, that is raising my daughter and any other children that we might have, because for me, when I'm old, the people that I work for won't be around celebrating and eating with me but my family will, and that's worth giving up every luxury in life for.

I appreciate that, but you could have experienced more of life before you settled down with a husband a children. I wish you all the best, but having so much clutter so early in your life is a lot to deal with. Best of luck to you.

Oh Chelsea, I was certainly like you once thinking the grass is greener on the other side but I can tell you from experience this just isn’t so. 😊 Additionally I would like to remind you that charity’s parents take their children on adventures and traveled all through out her childhood, she’s had lots of beautiful experiences. Often unbelievers live in the trap that travel, money and selfish ambitions should be what their main goal in life is, but as a believer in Jesus we are called to be children of God who turn from worldly presuits and instead seek the will of our Father in heaven. I pray you accept Jesus as your saviour one day soon. 🙏

I feel like you deep down are falling into the same habit of your parents buying stuff like they do or did. I really can see it happening. Try to take a break from the Thrift Stores.

I actually was thinking the same thing. People will expand to fit their space. Kind of like goldfish! You have to be conscious of the tendency to over collect/hoard or else you will fill up your space even when you have a larger home. It really isn't normal to have stuff stacked up to the ceiling and crammed into every nook and cranny. I have lived in apartment, and very small 2 bedroom/one bath house with 2 babies. We never had stuff stacked up. I couldn't live like that without losing my mind!

The more you bring in the more you have to send back out. If you don’t do that on a regular basis you accumulate too much stuff

I haven't been bringing in too much recently. Over the past 6 months I've barely gone to thrift stores and it's more of a common occurrence to not buy anything at all. It's a slow process but it is coming along. This is just residual from when I did bring too much into the house.

Sometimes people change their mind on getting stuff free or buying something. You may need to take a break from buying stuff at thrift stores or even well it’s free stuff, your apartment is small. Only keep what you absolutely need and must have . You’ll get a bigger place someday and can get stuff then. It’s hard but, it saves having to declutter all the time. Merry Christmas charity.

Hi from England. I hope you can tidy up soon. I personally can't relax if I see clutter. 😂 I would get a big shelf in the bedroom and put a nice curtain in front of it. Take Care.

As someone who understands the love of thrift shopping too, I would suggest just not going for a while. Pare down to just what you need. Stuff will always be available in the future. Only keep what you are actually using now. Baby items can be found fairly easily, so don't hang onto that stuff. Someone living in a tiny space really can't stock up and store things for later. Minimize and live with just what you need and get rid of the excess.
