As an older frugal person your videos are great for so many young who were not educated on finances. They often expect and think they should have all the things their parents have from over a lifetime. I think a lot of that is social media, marketing and stuff like that . Living within your means for your future is wise.

I *loved* your talk about finances. Your parents really laid an awesome foundation for you & it is definitely a strength you have. It was a personal question and you handled it maturely and in a way that I think could help other young couples. I also loved how you showed gratitude not for the amount of money you have, but the predictability of it.

Thanks so much for sharing these aspects of your life with us Charity. I really enjoy watching your videos :) I think yours and Colin's decision to be mindful about screen time with Katelyn is very wise. It breaks my heart to see young children struggling to spend time in the 'real world' and going through withdrawals when they don't have a device in their hands :( i definitely let my kids spend too much time in front of computers growing up...and honestly they spent much less time than all of their friends. We didn't let them watch t.v, but lots of dvds and many hours of minecraft. So pleased to hear that Colin has a reliable income year round, that must make budgeting and saving for a home so much easier. I love that you're looking towards a house in the future, but making the best of the small space you have now. You are a wise young lady. Keep up the great work :) :)

Hi Charity and sweet family! I agree that tv is used way too much and kids have forgotten how to play by themselves or other children. A tv is used as a babysitter to much. Good job taking care of your family and I am talking about you both. Have a very blessed day!

I hope you get a house in the next year or 2! 1st Christmas babies don’t even know what’s going on so good time to have it be on the smaller scale!

Only if your comfortable answering, how was tv detrimental for you? We currently have a 5, 3 and 1 year old. Typically they watch a few episodes of pbs kids through the day. I dont want to harm them. They still play toys and outside alot

How do you handle navigating your photography business and caring for Katelyn? Do you schedule your shoots around Colin’s schedule so he can care for her while you’re gone, or does your mom and younger sisters babysit for you? That is wonderful that Colin has salary! It makes finances so much easier to handle!

The fastest way to save is to bring in more income. You are doing a great job managing the income but hopefully Collin can work towards a career that makes more money. Especially if you are going to own a home, that comes with a lot of expenses as things deteriorate over time. And with potentially more kids on the way, I just don’t think a landscaping job will sustain your family forever
