I was looking for more people to do videos for what they do midweek. Thank you so much for this.

Yes, I have to moisturize mid-week to ensure that my hair doesn't dry out and retains length.

I just added moisture and retwisted last night. Strangely, my ends felt fine, but I remoisturized because my roots felt dry & somewhat coarse. Well, I guess it's not strange cause I have been working out & therefore sweating at the roots. To add moisture I used Green Beauty's Ph Stabilizing Spritz. I just dampened my hair for easier detangling and squeezed the moisture into my strands. I used the Melanin twist cream to re-twist in chunkier sections than my original style and even played with a lil Gemini Naturals color. When I untwist, I'll add some Gemini Naturals sealant oil, and have a fresh wash day on Sunday. *Just FYI: I did consider using the UFD Defunk or completely co-washing but decided just to do the process I detailed above. I think I'd have used the UFD Defunk if i weren't re-twisting, and the UFD Bye Bye Build Up Co-wash if my hair was more dry or if I had build up to the point that the products I used would have just sat on top of my strands.

I spritz my hair with 50% water and 50% aloe vera before I hit the shower every day and it helps keep my hair moisturized. I'm keeping my hair in flat twist during quarantine.

I moisturized midweek. During this stay at home, I am practicing on my two strands twist and keeping my hands out of my hair which was hard to do with a wash n go.

I do moisturize midweek. In fact, I’m going to this evening.....this video is perfect timing. I too am low porosity and I don’t think I’ve been using enough products and I certainly wasn’t adding extra moisturizer to my edges. Thanks a million for this video.

I either moisturize midweek or cowash depending on how the week has gone. If it wasn’t so strenuous I will just cont to spritz my hair on a day to day basis.

Trying something different while my hair is short. Mid week (sometimes twice a week) I rinse my hair completely and then add a leave in on top (maybe something heavier). Doing this mostly because it feels great to have the water run over my head (especially after a tough workout) and also, opposed to when I had my longer hair, I'm trying to focus more on adding a ton of moisture into my hair to make sure it stays healthy and undamaged.

This is interesting to me! My logic (prior to watching) was that there was no way putting a moisturizer on top of my thick, days old gel made sense. Also with us having low porosity hair, I thought I would need to open up my cuticles for a moisturizer to be effective.

It doesn't work for me, I get white balls putting a moisturizer on top of gel, im low porosity

I cannot put product on top of product. I can only get moisture by adding water. If I have to do a mid week refresh I will just co-wash and reset my wng. I stopped using heavy butters and oil on my hair...it just doesn't work for me. I might try the aloe juice tho when I first do my wng and see how that goes.

Cowash midweek when my hair is out. Wash and retwist every 5 days when it’s in twists, DC as a leave-in.
@talexander27454 жыл бұрын
I really appreciate your content!!! I ride it out only if I apply Oyin Whipped Pudding, after shampoo/condish, and allow my hair to rest for a for a spell ---then I spray each section with aloe vera juice, prior to applying my styler and twisting my hair. It last all week!!!!

Nope! I don't remoisturize mid-week since the pandemic b/c I keep my hair in twists & it stays moisturized all week long. I do wash my hair once a week & do the LOC method using a leave-in conditioner, sweet almond oil, & CR Almond Jai Twisting Butter.

I can't just put a moisturizer into my hair without a liquid first...water or aloe vera juice, or it will turn fuzzy, frizzy. About mid week I will assess to see if my hair need moisture. Most of the time its just the back of my head that needs moisture.

Lovely video, I don't remoisturize midweek, less manipulation ❤

I know you use coconut oil, but have you tried red palm oil? Using it as a sealant, my hair stays moisturized for the whole week. My hair has grown so much since I started using it. It’s bae bae for me😊😄❤️

@brianasailor98194 жыл бұрын
Also does the aloe vera juice gives you shrinkage and does it smell bad? Because I have short 4C hair so I blow dry my hair after I wash it to stretch it out and I want to use a liquid for the Moisturizing methods -LCO, etc.-but I’m just worried that it’s going to make my hair shrink up. Additionally, is your method of moisturizing the best method for low porosity hair? I have low porosity hair and I don’t know what method to use
@ALove4Me4 жыл бұрын
The aloe doesn't stink, and yes it contributes to shrinkage. I don't know if its the best method, but its the method that works best for my low porosity hair

Thank you so much for replying. And for being straight forward with. I’m going to try your method as well as the LOC method. And got from there. ❤️

Hey love. I’m a Camille Rose Naturals user as well. I just bought her moisture milk but I noticed that it’s a leave in conditioner and not a moisturizer (like the classic Pink Moisturize) so I bought her curlaide moisture butter which I think is a just a moisturizer, you know what I mean. Have you use the curlaide moisture butter? If so, did you like it better than the moisture milk? Also can you do a video comparing the moisture milk and curlaide moisture butter ?

I remember this video lol I’m Going to watch it again. This is a great reference guide for me 🙌🏾 Also, can you do a video comparing the Canvad Beauty Brand growth serum and the Mielle Organics Rosemary mint scalp & hair strengthening oil? I’ve used the canvas beauty brand and boyyy does it work but it’s $35 for 4oz 😐 and I’m looking for a cheaper alternative with similar ingredients. If you know any growth oils that’s not high in prices, pleaseeee let me know. Thanks again love for replying. Be well and stay healthy ❤️

Straight aloe? Ok, good to know. I always see it mixed with distilled water. I will try it without the water.
