It honestly feels like you can’t have a bad hair day when you’re natural, especially with medium-short hair or else you’ll be stuck in the house. However, if you complain, you’ll be told you hate your hair and other mess…..I try to stick to braids because summer time is already annoying and sticky but the added stress of detangling makes me want to cut it off.

girl I started to get bored of my hair too and resent it. It breaks easily and it requires a lot of effort...so I decided to give myself a break this summer. I got a bleached honey blonde fro-hawk. Shaved both sides down to a bald fade and got a design on both sides. Yup I fell back in love with my hair. Yes I suffered breakage and dryness but i love my hair now! for autumn I'm going to throw in some matching kinky twists and then in winter back to my headwraps and wigs. I needed to switch it up before I caused permanent damage through neglect.

Yesss I found someone in my city who does mini twists and I will be going to her for the next six months just to give myself a break from spending so much time doing my own hair and hopefully it’ll grow it in the process too. But I was definitely burnt out.

I treat myself to a salon visit once a month or once every 2 months depending on budget. When I go I have her do something that will last 2 weeks. That helps me not get sick of doing my hair because someone else is helping. I love my curls much more than dealing with straight because I was a straight natural and that was more work for me.

It’s real and I am going through it now as well!! I have my hair in jumbo twists that I did myself. They’ve been in for over a week now, and it’s been nice. Plan on keeping them in for about 3 weeks.

I’m so excited for your possible transition to blowout natural - for however long it lasts. I’m making the shift currently and I just searched “I’m a blowout natural” & this video came up. Do look up Framesi progressively smooth leave in spray, that, paired with phytodefrissant blow dry balm (it’s full of film forming humectants) gets my hair easily stretched with a blowdryer while remaining soft. If you heat train your hair, it will stay striaght longer and even withstand humidity longer before reverting.

I started working out 3 months ago too and I've been struggling. Feel like my hair can't last more than 2 days anymore and I actually planned on doing passion twists this weekend, which i never do, so this video is ..affirming to say the least. I did a keratin complex express blowout at a white salon with a black stylist and mind blown. Have all my curls and less frizz. Consider it. I wear my hair in a blown out state a lot so it will encourage me to protective style less and be able to bun or do sew in with leave out etc more with less reversion and less heat

I’m tired of my hair too. Idk if this is the crown and glory method but my plan is to be slightly straightened with an electric pressing comb in the winter months (one professional silk press in the winter for a trim) and alternating braids and blowouts in the summer (again with one silk press for a trim). When in a blowout I’ll just wear two braids going back so I can easily unravel them to moisturize and braid them back up. I wear a Christian head covering during the day so no one sees my hair anyway.

I grew my hair frim 2017-2020, it was big, so in 2021 June i decide to have dredlocks, that didn't last, cos in march 2022 i jst decided to cut it all. I just went back to Square 1 im like 1 year "Natural" and its growing fast, my problem is im not even taking care of it...mind you i hace not braided, twisted or anytging, o just wash and moisturise, im too lazy for my hair
