ZD is an absolute masterpiece, Graphics, Story, Machines & Combat. The only thing that holds it back is the Human-NPC interactions, they just stare you with blank face and giving directions to go for, which is what was Overhauled in Forbidden West. And made this masterpiece complete ✅

I agree. Even the most basic and weakest machines get my blood pumping, and that's the point. A Watcher/Burrower can easily kill you if you're not careful, AND they can call in reinforcements that will most certainly kill you if you're not playing your best.

@@TheFirstCurse1 I got killed by the first watchers in the sequel constantly because I wasn't able to one shot them like in HDZ. I was conformable fighting a lot medium tier guys but because of the stun states in forbidden west, watchers could swiftly deplete by health and I couldn't heal until decomposing myself. It's a whole new paradigm shift from being good against ranged but poor against trampling then in this game reallying have nice time evading melee but the ranged game is killing me, lol.

How I beat them, is using the shock wave arrows on there drone canisters, then I use those canisters against them, then I just hit them with a bunch of blast bombs till they go down.

I went back to Zero Dawn after doing a playthrough of Forbidden West just to look back on what's changed and I completely forgot how OP the Banuk weapons were. A bit slow compared to FW's overdraw weapons, but the damage more than makes up for it. Also no long dodge in Forbidden West which kinda sucks

@@MrAR_Gaming I had played the demo of hfw then got the game so I was using shredder gauntlets and spike throwers but as I hadn't yet finished HDZ I really wasn't getting the status effects and traps. I found watching hunters like yourself have helped me adjust to returning and finishing the game - just got out of the arena when the behemoth on knocks down the pillars and now have to save the Nora tribe. I previously beat the frozen wilds and have all the weapons and items there.

This is like a masterclass in HZD! I never used my double/triple shots very well, nor tripwires as offensive weapons. I treated them as traps you lay and then wait. Your strategy makes me want to play again.

It wouldn't have changed anything at all whatsoever. She's the best machine hunter (that we know of) but the Faro Plague still would have destroyed and wiped out all of humanity. Aloy couldn't change anything in that situation. We're talking machines that can mass replicate themselves, and the weakest and most numerous is the Corrupter. Aloy has trouble fighting a Corrupter alone. Imagine thousands of them, alongside Deathbringers AND HORUS UNITS.

Yes! ^ I can tell you from experience, The strategy for the fights become different if you fight a big mass of enemies. Because then, It becomes a Crowd control approach instead of trying to dish out big damage numbers, it takes much more skill and very specific kind of training to pull off, and that is on top of knowing how to deal with each machine individually. It's much more fun for exprienced players! I wish more people could experience the madnass I'm producing in every vid, that's why I'm making the videos to begin with, the challenge is for me but the end result is for you to watch, WIN WIN 🏹🦾❤️

i love how on pc we dont need bullet time as much, whereas before i built a pc and stuck on awful console the aiming is shit. btw tripcaster sucks in hfw it has a very slow activation time, so we cant quickcast anymore. it used to be my 2nd main weapon for all ground encounters. awesome vid, cheers

Yep, Mouse & Keyboard feels better in any game to me, I tried playing at friends houses with their PS4 call of duty MW and man... I sucked and felt pain every time i had to aim at someone or something and kept complaining how shit it feels to me, While they said 16 kills at plunder is pretty good score!!!!! And especially for someone who never got used to controller 🎮.. and I'm like... I'm used to 30-64 kills every time i play it on my rig. This felt horrible... Now because of me they all bought Mouse & Keyboard and connected it to their ps4 to play.. and even they say it's so much snappier and accurate. The analog inputs are just too slow for aiming, no matter how many people will try to tell me otherwise.. And about the Tripcaster, i heared they nerfed it really hard.. it's a shame, the weapon is great at HZD... Maybe more weapons on HFW compensate for that nerfing.. I didn't play HFW yet, so I wouldn't know really

It’s not completely shit. You gotta upgrade the trapper skill tree to place em faster. As well as wearing trapper armor. Makes traps overall super effective. Though it’s pretty sad what they did to it, it can still be pretty useful. Especially the new staggerbeam. Being able to interrupt their attacks is super useful. Also it applies a lot of elemental buildup. Just know with the right things on they are quite useful

@@trikky8341 nah ive done all that. its no where near as quick. while u can auto place it its launch time isnt instant. i find animation cancelling the other traps with the speed perk much more viable, with roll dodge i can literally sprint slide while dropping traps under machines. until they change if they do the tripwire it wont be the same, im well aware of its effects so none of that needs to be explained. the build up on other traps hits harder and builds up 5% faster aswell. depends on the pplayer. they intended for tripcasters to be "lay and prey" except hfw they made it literal. even with the perk the activation animation makes it weigh less than other traps. also most machines wlak over the trap so u have to lay the trip at a 90 degree angle while cancelling a roll dodge forward or backward depending on the moveset of the machines youre fighting while in mid fight. now if youre playing a 'setup' playstyle which doesnt involve a run and gun think on the fly mixup playstyle and youre more slower than yeah that will work. or if u are playing fast paced and launch a trip oppisite ur direction while using the machines chasing momentum to slide dodge to the side of the wire which will get the machine caught. ud have to launch it further away to give room for the 1sec activation delay. again im referring to a fast playstle like in hzd instant traps. im just hoping they remove the 1 sec delay. 1 sec is a long time . specially since the AI is turned up on very hard and machines watch when u lay a wire, if it was like hzd u can shoot a wire like an arrow. but not in hfw.

I renember when i killed my first large machine (a thunderjaw) i raged quit twice in 1 week but when i won i felt acomplished, and i realized that the thunderjaw dropped a crystal brading so i was able to get a shadow slingshot, the next day i found another thunderjaw but i beated that guy in 2 minutes, no problem cuz i learned from the other battle that i could use the disc launchers

Hit the engine above his tail you can get 4200 Damage with fully pulled Powershot bow 🏹 DLC weapons of course on new game+ with their Adept veriations

I really hate to fight scochers .. The most annoying machine ... I always try to sneak pass them 😂 .. . But the toughest machine is fireclaw and frost claw .. Specially the frozen wild last boss fight in ultra hard he is a tank .. keeps on coming .. Aloy be like my arrows are joke to you 😂😂

My POV: I absolutely love the Frostclaw, so many weak points to do practice on every fight! Fireclaw is less entertaining for me, Scorchers are easy to avoid and easy to kill, they have less HP, they only strong in a group settings.. But still every machine is unique and amazing

Frostclaw stays frozen and every weak spot explodes afterwards if your accuracy on point, he will die in one combo. Fireclaw on the other hand, regain his natural state if his firey belly stays intact. And it takes 2x3arrows shots to explode compared to 1x3 on a Frostclaw (Striker bow 🏹)... Much harder fight. But he's still easy to avoid since it has all the set moves of Frostclaw.. so it's just a longer battle, that's require you to freeze him at least twice to get a fast kill.

@@MrAR_Gaming mostly fireclaw are daemonic, thats why it take more arrows to explode its belly ... I love fighting them ... They are really aggressive, that suicide dive 😂😂 on aloy ... It killed me many times, i know how avoid them but still he manages to catch me off-guard ... And i only use sharpshot bow, precision arrows, no freeze it is more fun ... That way . . Have you completed forbidden west ??

I actually was looking yesterday at different people playing against a Thunderjaw and a Scorcher in the Forbidden West Arena on the hardest levels Seems exactly the same to me, machines just has more HP. So I'm starting to doubt about these kind of comments. I don't think i would struggle at all on the new game... I'll still have to prove it, so it would not be empty words, but I'm pretty sure i can back that up.

I'm not sure Elizabeth could pull that off, but she did use the same Armour so maybe? Aloy is the real beast in this story, with the teachings of Rost she is unstoppable!
