Ironically, this vid shows how different he is from Jokic. He has guard moves, has more ways to play downhill, can posterize quite a bit, and can chase down guards. Some of these passes are also set up through fancy drives, including euro steps in traffic. Major talent.

Great talented player. Sengün said he looks at Jokic as his predecessor... as his kind of ideal type of player. Now he has gained strength and experience. He is quick and passes well ...even if still too much limited in variety compared to what young Jokic had showcased. I doubt that his blocks and dunks will bring him near towards Joker's way of dominating the game. Joker is much stronger and ...sorry... much higher in basketball IQ. Joker can't be guarded by three. Comes the right time Nuggets Watson, Gordon, Cauldwell-Pope, MPJ and Joker will shut down guys that have no more than this to bring up. I love that more and more teams are choosing the path of team winning play... sharing the ball up to the last possible moment. I love to see the ball fly around not guys looking only to dunk...and to land on someone' s foot ...to get severe knee or ankle problems or kind like that. Dunking can stop your career. Always keep in mind your landing feet...

@@tigormiti last 4 games against him Jokic FG % was 25% worst than his career average. Had to shoot a ton to get his numbers. Maybe a recipie for loss. And Alpi was th lonely defender, no double team as per Ime. Doesn't make Jokic a bad player but it shows Alpi defending him better than other players. So simple. To me they are different anyway, Alpi is more of Arvydas Sabonis (pre NBA, before injuries)

Alpi’s improvement is amazing.Last year he was considered as underrated,but this year he has been showcasing unique stats to grab nba spectators’ attention.His iq,athletism and passing abilities make people believe that he will be better than jokic in the next years.

@@racimegacar Yeah you are right.He has a long way to go,however not too far to satisfy expectations.I think He should not only improve his menthal status,but he should also gain some muscle to dominate in the paint because he is now one of the the scout list players of opponents in Nba and they will always keep an eye on him to stop scoring so in my opinion he should become a sort of athletic and powerful player like giannis to make a threat for that teams.

This year rockets are more serious so Alpi is playing accordingly. His shot form and defense improved drastically with the team. Coach Udoka gave him bigger responsibility, offance runs through Sengun. He knows that team trusts him so plays less flashy more controlled.

Fantastic player to watch, even at such a young age. He makes the game much easier for his teammates and that's the sign of a true impact player. It's exciting to know that the Rockets are now giving him his chance to grow as a leader. I think the partnership that the players have with Udoka will need to some special things here. Title window may open up as soon as next year given their growth they've already shown this year.

His development is better than Jokic. Jokic was not better than Alperen in his 3rd season. If he doesn't suffer a serious injury, he could be a more unstoppable player.
