I just became a fan boy of Alpha 40. This solves a lot of issues with pay to win and creates an new environment for creativity and I think this is the first time I have ever seen Brian smile in a video.

Thanks for doing the alpha 40 league justice. we have been having a lot of fun with it and are glad for others to join us. anyone who has questions on why things are set the way they are for the league rules feel free to reach out to Angelo and i. I agree that sinkhole was a over cite. We are trying to be really careful to only change rules if its very needed because the cost of cards. We dont want to create feel bad moments for anyone who has gathered what they have gathered. Your power 9 card for the plague rats deck could be Mox Jet. Then you have your Dark Ritual. Don't know how far that goes into solving the 3 cmc problem and getting consistent turn 1 and turn 2 plague rats.

This is great!! I Think in the future this will be cheaper then 93-94. Because 93-94 started with a fixed base of only Alpha-Unlimited and arn-dark. Then look at it now you can play with revised, gold boarders or CE. If you say your only playing with cards printed in Alpha but only need to have the same picture like we have it in old-school this will be easier to start with. Just give it time in 5 years. What is great is that I already can build Weissman deck and try it out but with revised duals, unl ancestral and unl Lotus instead of sol ring.

Since you can have as many copies of cards you want in alpha 40, wouldn't the ultimate deck be composed of mainly lotuses and ancestral recalls with a copy or two of time twister and a single copy of fireball? It would be prohibitively expensive, incredibly boring, but would win turn 1 every time.
