Yep they took off in trend but most poeple still don't know a lot od the crazy bombers like Buzz rickson, the real McCoy's, etc. The quality on them is just great.

Agree with the sizing. Im 180 and was recommended to buy M size. But now I realize that it looks pretty short for me, ecpesially when I do sone moves or rize hands. So yes, I recommend to a bigger size with Alpha Industries

Back in 2016 I got the blue bomber from alpha industries but it has the nasa patches on it. I thought it was cool at the time but reallly struggle to wear it now without feeling like I’m in a costume

I’m sure you could get some good fits with that still! If you really don’t like it, put it up on eBay, grailed, or jawnflip! Back then I got a black cheap HM bomber in an XL when it should have been a M lol. We all make purchases that we end up regretting.

Im definitely a silver zipper kinda guy too. Especially dark cold colors a warm gold zipper doesnt do. But the warm colors also look good with the flat steel zipper.

I mean the gold doeskin really bother me anymore but id rather have it silver, especially with the arm zip. the grey is a nice color and with the combo of the shine on the fabric, its really cool.

I tried the standard cut and I couldn't deal with the high, buttoned pockets. From what I recall both the exterior and interior pockets were too shallow for me and the overall look was just too puffy, top it off with the high price. The slim fit might make me reconsider, but in my case it didn't feel like a jacket I'd want to wear all the time so I returned it.

Is the zipper just gold colored or is it proper brass? I see what you mean about preferring a nickel or silver colored zipper but if it's proper brass I'll go with that. Brass zippers last forever and the patina that you get over time looks very cool on something like a Bomber.

I use wet towels for hand sanitation, takes out any dirty spot, greasy whatsoever, anything more serious only dry cleaning.

Informative! 🙌🏼🙌🏼 The Uniqlo one you talked about doesn’t look super big on you...I’m torn between sizes/fit right now...looking at the standard fit Alpha Industries MA-1 in the black. Not sure if keep S or XS...I’m skinny, and of course the XS looks “right” with just tshirt but slightly snug with hoodie. S fits nice with hoodie but I “look” bigger than I’m used to, if that makes sense. Lol. S with tshirt still good but less fitted than XS, but maybe super fitted look is dated now? Thoughts? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Thx!

Probably made in the same factory as the Alpha. When these jackets were military issue they were made by Alpha in their US factory. This jacket had not been military issue since the 80s. The jackets Alpha sells are no longer made in the US. All these jackets are now M1-A style jackets and 99.9% are made in Asia. The reason Alpha demands more money for these jackets is because they were once the military contractor. If you want a jacket in this style buy the cheapest one you can find and ignore the label.
