The woman who was ready with the "If a woman is an analogy to you, then you're not ready to talk to a woman" had me flabbergasted, that's some powerful stuff
@Halo_Legend
@Halo_Legend 3 ай бұрын
That's not powerful. She doesn't understand what an analogy is. The lock is an analogy *to* a woman. A woman can't be an analogy to a woman. No one at any time tried to make it other way around and say that a bad lock is like a woman that had many partners (so a woman being an analogy to a lock). What she said had absolutely no sense. But even if the point was "if you make analogies to women, you can't talk to any women" is a bad point. Anything can have an analogy to it. The Fox in Little Prince was an analogy to a friend. Are she and you saying that the author can't have any friends just because he made an analogy to them? Or is it just women who are so priviledged? Makes no sense, there is nothing deep or powerful about a nonsense.

Back when I presented feminine, the only man I'd ever liked well enough to date long term had very little money, but a huge heart. Value is subjective, guys. Maybe six figures is a big deal to you, and sure you'll find women out there who think that way too, but it's far from universal. My ex blows all these misogynists out of the water because he's actually pleasant to be around. We broke up after six years, but we still have a great friendship and talk often. I will say it again: The Lock Analogy doesn’t work, because the lock only has one function in life, and that is to keep everything out. A woman has many varied and individualized purposes in life other than sex and stopping men from having it with her. Just like the Flower Analogy doesn’t work: You don’t remove her purpose by sleeping with her. A flower’s petals have one purpose: To attract and be pretty. She doesn’t lose her beauty just because she had sex with you. It all comes down to one thing: You think a woman is worse off because she had sex with you. That says infinitely more about you.

Same with the chewed gum analogy. After a gum is open and done being chewed it literally is functionless. It has fufilled its one purpose. Someone else used a tea bag analogy. After a tea bag has been steeped in tea, it is literally finished. You can’t use it again. Sexual behavior is not a one time or finite resource. And even if it was it should be applied to both genders. And it’s just not. We overwhelmingly dictate and attempt to control female sexuality.

@@Zaido4211if the person “dislike LGBTQIA+” for no good reason, that would be internalized homophobia or transphobia, or just regular old homophobia/transphobia, depending on how close that queer person is to the identities they hate. For example, a trans person like Blair White hating trans women who don’t follow the exact transition journey she did? That’s internalized transphobia. A gay guy like George Santos hating on trans women? That’s just regular transphobia. But squidgirl made a great point too; someone who “dislikes LGBTQIA+” because some queer people are awful to other queer people isn’t a phobia or prejudice at all, it’s just some queer people being tired of oppression from our own people. Plenty of gay people hate trans people, plenty of queer men hate queer women, plenty of queer people are racists or ableists or some other kind of awful person. It’s normal for other queer people to be upset about those members of the community, especially because they should no better than to discriminate against others when they know how bad discrimination is when it’s done to them.

Her argument is purely against form and not content. Most men can't sleep with a lot of women even if they wanted to, men who can are rare and exceptional. There's much scarier things in the world than a Man wanting his woman safe. Women who have men that look af3er them are pretty pleasant to be around. You should rethink the male hating programming society has gaslit you into believing. Most dudes could care less about "oppression" know why? Mom's Aunts Sisters Nieces Cousins Friends Teammates All women that men care about...Men like protecting and providing. Women like being protected and provided for...the only cost is Loyalty, Honesty, Appreciation and Support Don't make it harder than it has to be. Maybe you should change your Mindset on men and the Environment that made you hate them...Women can be shitty too. It's a human thing not a gender thing..

I hate when people use their "boundaries" to justify controlling other people's behavior. If you're really so insecure about it and it is genuinely a deal breaker for you, you don't accommodate that by telling the other person that they can't do something. You say "Hey, I don't think this is going to work out. I wish you the best." And you leave. You don't use it as an ultimatum either, you just leave. If you are truly so insecure that your girlfriend can't have male friends, then you might just have to accept that you'll be alone until you can work through that insecurity. It is not _her_ responsibility to change because _you_ have a problem.

Just to piggyback off your comment, I've heard boundaries described as something you can do yourself, not to others. Your own boundaries cannot directly control other people, only yourself. Those aren't boundaries, they're dictations so you can abuse people. That's people pretending you're hurting them to control you and prevent you from calling them out when they do things

Which definitely does not at all affect the actions of other people. Yknow, the people who would otherwise be touching you. If not for the, yknow. Boundary. That you set. The one that directly affects their actions towards you. That boundary." Like either you're just repeating something you read somewhere without having given any thought to it beforehand, you've explained it VERY poorly, or you literally think that people are being manipulative when they're just... asking for people not to touch them.

There are many content creators I've had to stop watching because of their views on people and the world around them, and the content creators I still do watch generally avoid real world problems or choose not to elaborate on their own opinions on the matters. I discovered you very recently and haven't stopped watching your content every day since, because I love to hear the way that you look at people and injustice in society. I saw a video yesterday of a bride showing that she had a man in her bride maids group and her husband had a girl with his groom mates (her brother and his sister), to show the color coordination, and the comments were filled with women saying that he was going to cheat on her with this woman (his sister, but they didn't care reading the description), how it was a red flag, ect... And once, I saw a woman explaining how she ended her friendship with her best friend when he found a girlfriend, so he would only have one woman in his life, and women were praising her for it. She wasn't ask, she just vanished from his life. Straight people have a sad life

I'm from Philly born and raised, and sadly a lot of dudes in this city do talk and think like that about gender and relationships, luckily not all. I get catcalled by a lot of dudes and try to question them to make them think, and without fail, I get to hear about how one dimensional they view everybody to be based on shallow stereotypes. I also grew up with a gay older brother and learned from very young that the opposite gender isn't always there to be in a relationship with, and I've always been able to view dudes platonically and had platonic friends. My partner has female platonic friends. Both of us are loyal and happy. The dudes on the street bothering strangers are the ones who tend to have these standards, and they're miserable..."struggling". This video was trully gold bro.

Me, an aromantic woman with a few guy friends, hearing that platonic relationships between women and men aren't real: 🤨
