We r humans and dogs r dogs so only dogs can understand each other but in some cases a humans perspective on how a dog feels in a certain moments can be right at times... we all know what nervous, shy, and scared looks like but his dog showed no type of fear... his dog was calm and not interested in the other dogs but when his dog was approached it used regular body language instead of a aggressive or scared type of body language... normal communication in dogs is when 2 dogs r able to sniff each other without any conflict but its usually dominant alpha dogs the ones to start a conflict due to demanding respect from others dogs

That's not an alpha dog... that's an insecure fearful dog trying to assert some dominance over the other dogs. Alpha dogs don't behave like this, they are confident and they control other dogs by simply using assertive body language. Alpha dog's only bark and snap at other dogs who are being disrespectful or aggressive to regain order. Nope, lick lip is just anxiety. It's not communicative, it's self soothing. Like a human folding their arms when they are nervous. Also, the lunge at the black dog was way out of line. Dogs don't have to play if they're nervous or just dont feel like it, but the healthy way to communicate that is just to be still and not play.

My dad was a security guard and he worked with the county cops so he had her trained with a k9 trainer. We could have her off the chain. She never got out of ear shot. We would say heal and she would stop dead in her tracks. If you can't control your dog like that, they have no business being away from you and off the leash. The Alfa male wasn't too timid to learn that dominance isn't allowed in the park if he wants to continue to run and play. People need to think. More attacks could be avoided if humans just use their brain. The female's master is on point and it's just as much his job to protect her as it is for her to protect him. She just wants to run off some of that energy and do some quick greets and move on. She says she ain't got time for these fur bags games! LOL

The TOUGH GUY owner freaked and I told him the tazor was a kindness afforded his dog, next would have been the quick release lead and muzzle. HE did not see the muzzle. I don't get in between fight dogs, I rarely if ever have to at my property where use to foster rescued fight Rottweilers for re-entry into good one dog only homes for local rescues, but they make tazors for runners to "correct" an ill-behaved dog attacking, oh and if they stop large Lab-mastiff like a Daniff mix on the beach cold,......, I bet they will work on the owners too! LOL!!!! Easiest just to socialize your hounds as puppies and if they do have that uncontrollable urge to misbehave, throw on a muzzle- you are in the long run protecting your dog, oh and yourself from vet bills of the other dog owners and possible legal actions because of YOUR irresponsibility. I know my dog and if provoked he'll go for it, but he really is not interested in other dogs so the quick release lead and muzzle USUALLY keeps the wanna-be "professional" dog handlers at bay,..., but if not,........, LIGHT'EM UP! The owner of the tan aggressive dog should've been correcting their animal and separated the dog when it obviously was not playing well with others and was only trying to assert dominance on every dog there. My dog is either amstaff or apbt mixed with staffy, he isn’t a problem starter but he’ll stand up to any dog that’s wants the smoke. He tried to take on two young unstable German shepherds. He’s 50lbs reddish brown with white and 20 inches at the withers and strong for his little size
