I appreciate the support and I am so glad the video made it to ya! When I made it it was quite difficult to find any footage of the LUXX series tail lights, so I was excited to get it posted so that others could see it before they buy. I absolutely love them, they are so cool and unique!

I have both the headlights and taillights alpharex luxx both in alpha black for my black 2012 taco and I love em, I purposely wait to turn on my taillights when someone is behind me to give em a cool light show 🤣I also installed blacked out mirror turn signals and they turn sequentially simultaneously with the Alpharex headlights 👍🏽👍🏽

They are pretty equivalent to the OEM reverse lights. I don’t have a way to measure the light output and distance, but I’ve never needed any more light than what they provide.

Great video, I have a question. Am I understanding correctly that when you're at a stop and put the turn signal on no brake lights will show - on either side? Then if you release brake and then press the brake again it will shut the turn signal off and make the brake lights work again, or is it just a hazard lights issue. Sorry if I'm confusing you. Want to put this on my son's truck. Wanna make sure he's safe.

All good, if the light has the sequential activated I.e. turn signal or hazard then the brake light won’t illuminate. However, if it’s only one turn signal the other side tail light will have the brake light on. This may have been remedied in future models as I did purchase mine almost a year ago, however this is the way that mine function. Just something to have in mind if you are running a bedrack or have a lot of stuff in the bed of the truck covering the third brake light and your hazards are on, that the tail light brake feature won’t actuate unless you turn off the hazards. I hope this helps!

Maybe I missed it but when your Parking lights are on and you hit the brake what changes? I had the alpha Rex $300 set and the little boxes in the middle would be the only thing that lights up.

I assume it was an engineering oversight, but when the hazard lights are on or a turn signal is flashing, the center brake squares do not illuminate when the brakes are depressed. Just good to know if ever you have to drive with your hazards to turn them off prior to or during breaking.

Mines doesn’t have the activation feature when you start up. Have you heard of this issue?

Have not, I am not certain but I believe if you bought the non LUXX version that it wouldn’t have the activation feature. This would probably have to be a question to pose to the manufacturer.

There area couple throughout the video: 4:28 for left, 6:05 for right, and 7:18 for both. I don't have any clips of the reverse lights at night, which I didn't think about at the time of the video, but if you would like to see that I can get a short posted of that and drop a link in this comment string.

So if you put your four-way hazards on. Then you step on the brakes. Do you also have brake lights? Or just hazard lights?

Sorry it took a bit to respond. To my surprise I hate to say it but with hazards on the tail lights do not show break lights. I assumed the lower break light square would still illuminate however I was wrong. I really appreciate you asking this question, because this is a very important note that I totally didn’t think to look at. Just to reiterate, with hazards on (or blinker) the lights with the hazards energized (or blinker) will not have a break light energize when the break pedal is depressed.

It’ll do the sequential signal on both tail lights as of your hazards were on for two flashes. The animation is only when the lights are turned on for the truck. As for the alpha Rex LUXX headlights I can’t say. I would assume it’s the same as the tail lights as that would make sense to me, but I only have the stock headlights.

@@uno3863 I answered the question that wasn’t asked and didn’t realize it. I thought the above comment was asking about the LUXX headlights. And I did specify that within my above response. I appreciate the clarification, yes the Luxx tail lights do have an animation on unlock and turning on truck lights as well as turn signal and hazard lights as demonstrated in the video.

It was brought to my attention my dudes and dudets, if you have your hazard lights on THE BREAK LIGHTS WILL NOT ILLUMINATE. Link Below. Keep this in mind if you’re a southern driver in a rainstorm and like to have your hazards on. You still have the third break light, but the tail light hazards override the breaks.
