I really like this take. Everything feels wrong, like none of this should be happening. Sans isn't an insane edgelord that remembers the resets. He's unsure of himself, wondering if he should really be doing this or if he's just making a mistake. It feels really in character for a character that would never be in this situation normally.

Honestly I agree, so many people forget that Sans still feels remorse even during his killing spree, he's not a mindless murderer but rather a tragic hero. That being said it's the resets that drove Sand crazy in the first place, causing his genocide, so I'd be curious to know what the explanation is here. The only part that feels weird is that Sans isn't trying harder to kill the player.

in my opinion. This Dusttale ish au is what i would think sans would do if he was forced to kill all his friends. Not killing to gain power, but killing to steal power from the player and frustrate them untill they stop. The fact that he doesn't try to hide the fact he knows your resets and ability to fight, act, use an item, or mercy. And he just says, "give me a sec and you can heal. alright?". Its as if this was suposed to be canon, sans grows the power to see your save star and all your abilities. Hes fighting to frustrate and make you mad, not to kill just for revenge *cough cough* dustrust-

i love how he still tries to keep in character, still gripping onto his little sanity hes got left, for example 2:30 he winks at you whilst pointing upwards, its like he doesnt want anything to change but has to do it to protect the underground, this also enforces how toby fox tries to make you stop doing genocide route by adding hints to remind you its morally unright the further you go. hes also holding back, giving you hints and sparing you without blasting you with a gaster blaster.

Очень интересный взгляд на персонажа, как по мне. Видно всю неуверенность и нежелание идти убивать Папайруса (Если я ничего не путаю). Это хорошо показывает, как персонажу непривычно быть в амплуа маньяка и убийцы, хоть он и по логике должен выглядтеть устрашающе. Очень хочеться в будущем в финальом бое с Сансом увидеть абсолютно сломанного и отказавшегося от морали персонажа)

Возможно, будет немного "комедийных" моментов, как было в первой версии, однако если всё же разраб оставит все как есть, то Санс станет ещё и шахидом (на канале у разраба был рофельный видос про "слив" dusttale, где Санс взрывает бомбу у себя под плащём).

It seems so realistic. So heartbreaking. That's the first Dust Sans that I actually like. The creator of the game did an excellent job! Awesome expressions, everything is just perfect and makes me feel so uneasy. I am really grateful for the experience. Such a good job!

And is not like 99.9% of not only dustale, but also sans fangames that its just "HUMAN, I REMENBER YOU'RE GENOCIDES", this sans instead is confused cuz he is not full sure if the human/player really did countless geno-routes or he just had a really awfull nightmare and he's just being too paranoic, cuz is can UT all of the characters dont remember the resets not even sans (exept for flowey, he does remember if im not mistaken) the previus timelines are just like weird deja-vus to them.

It’s still just as unoriginal. Instead of making something original they stick to the OG model of sans and then try to stick to the canon as possible (which could not happen in a dusttale au). Not to say this fangame is bad it’s amazing but it’s still another sans fangame at the end of the day

@@med13445 Did you really just try to debunk something using hacking your lv as an argument? It's funny that you think that's actually applicable. You have no clue what karma means, do you? Karma means consequences for your actions. You receive karma as a consequence for slaugheting the underground. So if you have no lv and haven't done anything, it wouldn't make sense if you still had karma, and it would make even less sense if the person wielding the karma has done worse than you.

@@KarmaticLunacy Unlikely. Sans in this run doesn't seem to be the standard Dust Sans that has done thousands of genocides, in fact this one does not seem to exactly remember resets. There's a reason canon Dust fails to genocide very well in the first many ones. It is because doing a perfect genocide is a bit difficult.

Whether or not he can remember resets I dont know, but either way the fact that Frisk is still attacking him I doubt its pacifist

@@KarmaticLunacy Look at his dialogue. He isn't confident he has met the human before, and is generally confused here. Any Dust Sans with enough genocide experience to perfectly out perform the human shouldn't be this confused. By the time he has enough experience with this, he should have gone through hundreds or thousands of runs if we count the pre Dust runs. It is far more likely the human simply wasn't doing a genocide this time. As for Frisk attacking Sans, I am pretty sure this is a game demo. It is the player attacking Sans. If this is a early dust fight, mercy might be a viable choice though. I doubt mercy has been programmed as an option unfortunately.

​@@FlamingHatYT My theory is that this dust got more time to clear the ruins- the original dust didn't get enough time to stop for any extra monsters, and only got limited time before the human fell. Considering the first time he ever sees you in this run is in Snowdin, and you coincidentally have 20 HP, I think Sans got given a bit more time than the original and started the genocide run earlier to make sure every monster was cleared and sabotage the human's exp gain- although not quite knowing much about the human yet (other than their abilities). Although I like the idea that the human went for pacifist this time, I just highly doubt they would because of the circumstances this takes place in. That's just my theory though.

It's sad that we got yet another mediocre quality sans fight instead of some cool undertale content like TS!Underswap, Deltatraveler, undertale yellow, Desperate times, Undefell by RynoGG, Deltarune: Chapter rewritten, and other great projects. So much creative potential - and it was wasted on another "le epic sans fight hahaha"
