TRANSLATION
Alphabeat's had a super hit in their home country of Denmark called "Fascination" and here in the Netherlands it's impossible to get out of the charts. For the fans they've got a new album with ten new tunes you can impossibly get out of your head.
With their tunes from the 80s Alphabeat's not just a hit in their home country of Denmark - their gigs are sold out outside of Legoland as well.
Anders B: Last night we played, um, a gig in... Nijmegen and it was uh, and we were surprised because it was... it was just us, and it was sold out, and people... knew all the songs... and they were - dancing, it was just like being in Denmark or the UK so that was.. amazing.
Stine: We don't really fight, of course you have days where you don't really want to talk to Anders [SG], but then I talk to Anders [R] instead! So...
Anders SG: And then if Anders didn't wanna talk then she'd talk to Anders [B]!
In between the raging testosterone vocalist Stine stands quite strong.
Stine: Um, I'm, not that good with girls... well, I have a few really close girlfriends of course, but um, I like hanging out with boys because it's much more simple, and... there's much less drama.
Stine: The next song will be 10,000 Nights -
?: Or Boyfriend.
Anders B: Or Boyfriend, we're actually not a hundred percent sure, but...
Stine: I am.
Stine: We tried to do, like, a seventies classic love duet... so me and Anders are singing about how much we love each other...

These vivid Danish artists are newbies in the music world: they don't even have a "sex, drugs & rock'n'roll" speed course on their resume yet.
Anders B: We sleep with each other. We stick to... we stick to that.
Anders SG: I slept with Troels last night...
Anders R: And me and Ras[mus].
Stine: No, we haven't really had groupies yet...
Anders SG: We don't please our fans that much!
Anders B: We don't know how it works...
Anders SG: I heard that John Mayer, he slept with, with a girl, every night in the first... four years of his career or something... and then he got completely mental.
?: And Robbie Williams did the same.
Stine: We're not gonna follow that example...
And that's how they give themselves hope. If you haven't got any groupies you just have to sleep with each other. Great singer by the way - yeah, you should keep up with them. But that Fascination was a huge hit which made the international record companies think, that band just has to go international, they're touring in the UK and are really active here in Holland as well. And they were actually asked as support act for the Spice Girls, but they declined the offer, not because they hated them but because they were like, we'll be in huge venues and nobody will know us and that won't work, we'll have to do it step by step. And then the groupies will come along.
