Doubtful. Those older tracks were wider. Specially in the hairpins etc. Now all that space is taken up by gravel traps, other safety devices etc. 😊

@norrinradd335 if it's just round and round then they should be able to win every race right? You have to actually drive the car in cup. Tires aren't as wide, brakes aren't as good, car is heavier, and the other cars are right next to you or bump drafting. F1 drivers can't do any of that. If they were better, they would win more in cup. The same with road courses in cup. How many times have a f1 driver tried and not won, finished outside the top 15 or 20, or wrecked out? Basically every time one enters.
