Shirt garters are a good idea, especially for formal occasions, but keep in mind that there are two types of this item------------The first, as you illustrated, clips onto the front and back of the shirt, and then onto your socks, PROVIDING that you are wearing crew-length or mid-calf socks--------------If you are wearing over-the-calf, or knee-high socks (perhaps your doctor advised you to wear compression socks to help circulation), then the other option is the type that clips onto your shirt, and then ends in a stirrup, which you slip over your stocking feet---------------Both fashions do the job well.

Ive been wearing them for years, and they aren't too bad. A bit uncomfortable at first, but you get use to the feeling. The ones she showed I wouldnt suggest. They look cool but the sock clamps do not hold well. There is an under the heel on you can get on amazon for like $12 that is much better. They dont have the fancy designs those have, but who care if they are under your pants anyways.

I thought they weren't working well for me because I have recently lost 41lbs and have yet to go clothes shopping, so my pants are a bit loose. I just ordered my KK&J shirt stays, so we'll see how that goes.
