Finally someone who is not talking about shirt stays! I was actually always wondering why everybody had such a problem with their dress shirts getting untucked. I never really had that problem, because I made sure that I got the perfect fit. I actually can't remember the last time, my shirt got fully untucked. Great video!

For the guys who are wanting to up their style game, but can't afford $100s of dollars per clothing item, here's a pro-tip: Find a good working used sewing machine from the 1960's and learn how to use it. Then look for shirts at Goodwill or other thrift shops, but be REALLY selective. Then use KZbin to learn how to very easily tailor the upper arm and sides of the shirt in for a closer fit. Once you are really confident with the machine, you can start to make stuff too, like vests or bow ties. I love my old Singer 237. It's a high precision power tool, and what guy doesn't love power tools!!

when you mentioned the armholes the X-files theme song started playing in my mind. It seems to me that unlike other style bloggers (*cough alpham *cough tmf *cough rmrs) you're not just advertising products but actually know all there is to know about men's clothing.

Mate, earning money is not a bad thing, and I think you can still be objective even if someone pays you for it. Think about a sponsorship as a compensation for one's time. We have our own brand and do not rely on sponsorships and if we are not 100% convinced, we do not promote a product or service. That being said, others may not have that income and most KZbin viewers do not donate money and making videos is expensive. Respect and likes are great and we appreciate it but they don't pay the bills. ;) So, if you like our videos, the best way to support us is to buy from our shop. If you can't do that, that's ok but maybe you can tell others about us and help spread the word, thank you Mate!

Thanks for replying to my comment. The fact remains the same, I find your videos to have higher quality than other style-bloggers'. And also advertising and mens's clothing/lifestyle consultation for example are not the same things and It's my opinion that one have to be honest about the content of one's content. If what a youtuber mostly does is advertising than the youtuber should admit that the youtuber is an advertiser, no less no more. That's all I have to say about that.

Hello Raphael. Thank you very much for posting your videos, they are very educational and enlightening to those who wish to dress and behave like gentlemen. This video about keeping shirts tucked in is brilliant and I want to ask if you would ever do a video on the different methods of keeping trousers up, specifically the use of belts, braces, or adjusters and possibly discussing their pros and cons. I think you would be the perfect man for this dicussion. I would really appreciate such a video. Again, thanks for you hard work and kind attention.

This is a very educative video! I agree with your analysis: slim body, small armhole, big sleeve. But you often have to go to bespoke or very high end shirts (as attaching a big sleeve into a small armhole is tricky). I feel shirt stays are over killed. A simple and cheap fix I use is 2 rubber strips inside the trousers band. It's quite effective, even though not really solves the problem completely.

There are two tips: 1. Buy the shirt from a store that is specified only to sell men suits because all the shirts are designed to be tucked in. 2. Add a two tone "elastic material" on the inner circumference of your pans. The elastic part reduces the shirt movements.

You say for physical activities polo shirts would be more reasonable and therefore you wouldn't need shirt stays. When dancing however, I like to use them, because even though my shirts fit well they would become untucked then. It is correct that they don't actually keep the shirt in, but pull it in again, but that's enough since you can quickly lift the waistband of your trousers after a dance and the shirt looks somewhat proper again.

The shirt comes undone either way, even sitting down on a chair will cause it to slip up an inch every time you sit. Just get used to tuck it back in regularly.

So basically what you say is that I have to buy only custom made shirts, because the of the rack ones are made for supraponderal people? I'm also doing social dancing as a hobby, I'm moving a lot, and you said they are not for "workout", but dancing includes moving a lot, and yet you still want to look elegant.

I always get those 15 dollar pants garters from men's wearhouse. u clip one to ur sock and one to ur shirt tail--- it keeps your shirt from muffin-topping and your socks pulled up. If you're on a date and a woman is that offended by shirt garters, maybe it's just her.

I mean, sure, a fit shirt won't get untucked, but what if you're stuck with shirts that are not necesarilly fit to your body? like you got them from someone else? This is not a secret or a how to, this is just a person which is saying mostly "there's no way your shirt won't come untucked, just by several fit ones and you're set. Im not going to renew my whole wardrobe just for this.
