When I was 12, I had a sudden blasting headache in the middle of class and passed out. 911 was quickly called by my school nurse. Turned out I had a large ruptured artery in my brain. So many incredible things lined up for me to get the surgery needed and able to recover. Found out that I had a 1% chance of survival. Over the years I've learned about the lethality of that situation and am blessed to be alive with no side effects!

What a depressing lineup! 😬 As a young, single woman, I moved into my current Oregon neighborhood a long time ago. One of my neighbors was a guy who offered to help me set up my cable. He was pleasant and well-groomed, but something about him set off red flags. I politely declined his assistance. Ten years later, he's arrested for the rapes and murders of young women in Washington state. Whether you're a man or a woman, young or old, don't ignore that hinky feeling just because you don't want to hurt somebody's feelings. People like that take advantage of kindness in the worst way.

Hey I’ve been a nurse for 35 years and I would NEVER allow my personal issues to affect my work! Nurses have been at the top of the LIST of most trusted professionals for decades
@brendawalters37282 ай бұрын
just because they on a list of most trusted professionals for decades, doesn't mean they should be blindly trusted. I worked as a CNA for most of my life and was in rehab/nursing home for 9 moths, I've seen it from both sides. Now a days a lot of people go into nursing for the wrong reason. I've worked with both great and awful nurses. And it's this blind trust that cause injury and death. Hell, there is a huge list of people who think Trump is Gods gift to the world. doesn't mean it's true.

I love the stoey about the mother getting help for her baby. It is incrediblely sad but shows how mla mothers love is very strong to protect their child. Actually an aneurysm seems one of the best ways to die if it is my turn. If you don't know what hit you and I just turn up in heaven sounds good. So tell your family you love them , visit family and friends because you never know when it is your turn

Aww, Mike, your “scary nurses” piece bums me out! I’m a retired RN. I, and the vast majority of my colleagues, tried my/our best to alleviate suffering , promote healing, and advocate for patients every single shift. I made a difference in people’s lives and I’m proud of that. Btw, people tend to trust nurses more than people in a lot of other professions. It’s not the most glamorous career, but it’s one of the most fulfilling. Please know that despite the negative report you gave on nursing, I would take excellent care of you, because that’s what I tried to do for every one of my patients. I tried to never judge people - that’s God’s job. (No retribution from me!) I wish you happiness and good health.

Thank You for being one of the nurses that we older folks learned to Love and Appreciate. 🤗 Sadly tho that rep is being ruined by the 'new' ways. (Don't bother me, I want my shift done fast and easy) I suffered in agony for a month with nurses all around me, getting irritated with me because I was whiny and loud. It wasn't until my doc went on vacation, and a stranger doctor filling in for him stepped into my room and heard my moans of pain. He looked at my chart and immediately saw that I was in pain (and being loud and obnoxious) 20 minutes after each of my morphine shots ... FOR A MONTH!!! That doctor started yelling and reprimanding the nurses. He instantly recognized that I am that 1 in a million that morphine DOES NOT work on. He scribbled in my chart and I was finally out of pain and at peace. I'm sorry, but that month of agony erased any respect or trust I have for nurses.... I was taking up their time, and disturbing other patients, so I was ignored.

I had morgellons disease. It's super gross. It also caused what id describe as tiny black "rocks" (size of ground pepper seed) to come out of skin when soaking in hot bath. Got over it with lots of apple cider vinegar sprayed on my body and rubbing lotion with a petroleum base (like Vaseline mixed with hand lotion) all over.
@lemoniefish3 ай бұрын
I had no idea the rocks were associated with this condition. Had a friend after high school who had one of these pulled out of his scalp by his gf, but it was more like the size of a large piece of rock salt. I don't recall him stating any other symptoms, but I wonder....

Ive literally had to put in Locked-in Syndrome into a google search tab on my phone as 3 times, since last August, ive gone fully unresponsive (anywhere from an hour just yesterday up to 72 hours), yet i could hear and feel everything, and whenever they would open my eyes to see see if my pupils would stay in place or focus on something while moving my head one side to the other, i could see until my eyes would be let go and close again....... hearing about this has really freaked me out, so im hoping i might be able to possibly find something out from this research since nothing ever shows on any tests of my head......

Although I believe most nurses are in the profession because they want to help people, like anything else there are bad apples. I was in rehab and not once but twice they tried to give me the wrong meds. The first time he tried arguing with me until he went back and realized he was giving me meds of another lady with the same first name. the next time they tried to give me my roommate meds. ALWAYS check the meds, everyone makes mistakes. what really pissed me off was the nurse wrote in my chart that I was argumentative. I did however make him put in my chart why I was arguing with him. Since he couldn't by law remove what he wrote. He was also the weekend supervisor.

Number 5 is on video and you can clearly hear a female voice calling out for help. And Number 4-lightning strikes are no joke-In October 1998, a lightning strike killed all 11 members of a football team in the Democratic Republic of Congo during a match. The incident occurred in the eastern province of Kasai while the Bena Tshadi team was tied 1-1 with Basanga. The lightning strike also burned 30 other people.

I had a “premonition” / trip about a school massacre event not long before sandy hook. Like three months before. I was smoking synthetic weed at the time (it was a thing, i was young didnt know better) - the apartment I was staying in was an old converted school building. One windy day the metal pops of the doors against their frames started tripping me out. I thought they were gunshots and I kept a journal at the time to document the strange effects of the synthetic. One I’ve since burned. But i began writing about an older disgruntled teen committing a mass sh00ting but had no motive so I abandoned the “short story” I burned that journal for other reasons , but that time in my life was full of unusual coincidences. I’m not sure what was being put in that stuff , but I swear it made my brain do some weird shit. Coincidence or “vision” this has always creeped me out and stayed with me

You need to get your facts strait. Unintentional injuries is the third leading cause of death in the U.S. Who do you thinks at the bedside pumping on chests, or giving medicines to save lives? Nurses. They are routinely yelled at, spat at, pummeled, kicked, scratched and even stabbed by the people they’re trying to save. In many states, being a nurse is more dangerous than being a police officer or a prison guard. So good job making nurses jobs even harder.
