Do you know why there are rings on Saturn? The kid on this list didn’t, but his answer will have you rolling on the floor laughing. At least, it had us laughing. Can you draw a plant cell and identify its most important parts? You might be able to, but the kid on this list had a different definition of a plant cell. Do you know what ended in 1896? This kid apparently did. But I don’t think that was the answer the teacher was looking for. Check out these 25 funniest test answers kids have ever given.

smartness and intelligence actually have a very similar meanings, i believe you mean knowledge and intelligence but i still disagree. children display problem solving skills which are intuitive. this simply means they are thinking in their own way because they havent been taught how to really do anything complex. sometimes an adult might find this as amusing because children and adults solve problems in radically different ways. this doesnt mean children are smarter because they did something that had not been thought of, its just amusing

Earlier in my life I was a chemistry and physics teacher. For bonus I would mess with their heads and ask them questions that had no right or wrong answer. I just wanted to see how creative they could be. Plus it'd give them extra points they desperately needed. It drove them crazy by last period trying to figure out the answers. They had to use complete sentences and proper grammar. Here's one example: 1. Why does the buttered side of toast always land butter side down when you drop it? 2. When cats fall, why do they land on their feet? 3. What would happen if you strapped a piece of toast, butter side up, to the back of a cat?

I wish I had my old test papers. There were some awesome answers given that you could do a whole List25 of. Why is it that when a load of socks are washed and dried, there's always one sock missing? Then, when you finally decide to get rid of it, the matching sock shows up in the very next load of laundry? Answers given: 1. An inter-dimensional wormhole opens up which is caused by the spinning in the dryer. It connects one dryer to another taking just one sock through to the future dryer. 2. The matching sock was stolen by the dog and buried in the back yard by the swing set. Six months later, the dog digs the sock up, plays with it and leaves it by the swing set. One of the kids finds the sock, brings it in the house and puts it in the dirty clothes hamper so he doesn't get in trouble for leaving socks in the yard. It gets washed and voila', the match showed back up after you threw out the other! Last question: Why do we park on a driveway and drive on a parkway? 1. I don't know. I don't have a driver's license yet and I haven't taken driver's ed either. 2. My mom did park on the side of a parkway to let my sister get out and throw up her chocolate milkshake. She drank it too fast. Little sisters never listen! I miss teaching... this was back in the 90's. We had so much fun. We were always in the lab or outside doing something. We'd get the general principles/ideas out of the textbook and then go learn things together. Our principal loved watching us (or he was secretly terrified we'd blow something up) when we went outside and launched our rockets. Or were out in the front of school launching homemade catapults. We were always building things. And science fair was a blast! He always stopped in when we were making ice cream or popcorn in chemistry. Did I ever get in trouble? A few times, but that's what learning is all about! 😉

I love that third question. My answer is that the red shirt would still die. No really, I'd say that the cat would land on its feet and something else (that the cat knocked over in the fall) would fall on top of the cat sticking to the buttered side of the bread like a leaf, blanket, book, or something.

In high school (and mind you, I’m going on 36 and still remember this), for my passing grade for my final exam (12 grade), my resource biology teacher had a rather macabre sense of humor. In saying this, the final’s bonus question was something that one obviously wouldn’t even approach an Ivy League psychology course, senior semester. The question was, “Explain the behavior of human courtship:” God did I EVER have fun with this. Dick and Jane came to my extremely deviant mind at the timeframe. My answer: “See Dick... see Dick see Jane... Run, Jane, run... run, Jane, run...” I honesty got the passing grade of a B-. True story!!

In ninth grade, we were learning about migrating icebergs and how the bottom is often liquid because the friction between the ground and the moving ice burg warms up the ice and turns it to water (that's how lakes and rivers were made). Our pop quiz asked "what part of an iceberg is water?" Instead of answering ' the bottom' I answered 'all of it, because ice is just frozen water.' I received full points and an eye roll.

Back in the Stone Age when out playground toys were metal, wood, cement, and dirt, we really did just “get up and deal with it.” High school classroom for 36 years....and I can’t remember any!! That’s what teaching HS for that long does to you!

Oh yeah? What subject is your thesis in? And yet, you still make time for these videos and I think that is just awesome. I've also noticed that your level of self-confidence has gone up. I watch you guys everyday and you're a source of amusement and education that never gets dull. I bet you're a pretty blusher. You deserve the props even more now that I know how busy your life is. Take care of yourself, Juan.

When my students give me smart-ass (but respectful) answers (in class, not on tests), I give them extra credit. It takes a lot of intelligence to be a smart-ass.

#18 I agree with the kids answer actually. The question does not specifically reference any previous question. Because I'm smart is one of many you could use to justify "knowing" something. Also numbers that can only be divided by themselves and 1 are prime numbers, not odd numbers.
