Seeing Alpha's fixation on log bridges this stream was so fun. I hope we get to see him play more ToTK eventually.

I've rewatched this as background noise several times, and I've gotta say... the entire sequence from 2:12:11 to 2:13:00 always gets me. The first time I saw it, I was actually tearing up from laughing too hard. I need more Alpha TotK content. He truly embodies the kind of "why use the intended solution when I can find something -stupid- _funny_ that works even better" mindset that this game is all about.

there are no wrong solutions in TotK. There are only obvious solutions and less obvious solutions.

I love the detail of the character intro titles being what link would see them as, Rauru is "The Source of the Right Arm" because, at that point that's all that Link knows about him Also, as a guy with long hair, I love link's new hairstyle

life is so much easier when you have a long bridge he says as he gets to the area where the obvious solution is.... a long bridge. and it's also not a bird. it's a gliding bridge segment

So I've been a Zelda fan since OoT (I'm 30 now) and I've considered it my favorite series of games. When BotW came out I immediately got it and reeeeally didnt like it. I felt like it was too open ended and boring. A huge, empty world without direction. I gave TotK a try, after trying to like BotW MANY times. And I've sunk so many hours into this game man. I love it.
@LtCdrXander8 ай бұрын
Yeah, it's great! I feel like BotW still delivered better on story, but TotK's world has so much more to do. I was a bit disappointed that TotK's dungeons weren't that much better than BotW's boring ones, and I wish there were more to do in the Sky Islands. Overall though TotK has really grown on me. At first I didn't give it much of a chance as I wasn't liking it as much as BotW, but almost a year later I'm enjoying exploration a lot more. Finding caves and little things in the world is a lot more fun than exploring in BotW, even though TotK inherently doesn't quite capture the same magic as exploring BotW's world for the first time. At the same time, I kinda enjoyed BotW's emptiness since I feel that it adds to the sense of loneliness in the world, and I liked to just aimlessly wander and take in the ambience of BotW's emptier world. Still, having more to do in TotK's world is definitely a plus since the gameplay is just more engaging. I just really wish they did more with the Sky Islands and maybe the Depths too; those areas were kinda lacking in content, in my opinion. Like what if the Depths had varying environments, like underground jungle beneath Faron or ice caves beneath Hebra; just something to break up the single environment that spans the whole of the Depths. I enjoyed BotW's openness and emptiness for the vibes, but TotK definitely delivers more on the gameplay, and obviously having Ganondorf is a plus for TotK

So you are incapable of choosing your own direction and need your hand held the entire way? Think about how people with amnesia feel. That feeling of being lost and directionless is intentional. I dont understand the whine over the world being empty--the couple regions have biomes that make complete sense why they don't have much going on. They are also meant evoke a sense of isolation and loneliness. Hell its almost if the calimity is the reason why its "empty." Like no shit, of course it is. His memories aren't guaranteed to recover in chronological order either. Dlc was about grieving what was lost and starting the healing process. At this point, you would've recovered all the memories from the base game so there would be emotional ties link could fall back on and remember for the dlc and if you finish it, the picture will be still hanging up on your bedroom wall in totk (pulls from the save data in botw).

Zelda's REALLY British accent.......taking the viewer out of the suspension of disbelief. Zelda whips out a literal Smartphone and snaps pics............ "Well, ok now this is just stupid." (what is with the judgement on these choices by the dev? Are they really trolling their own game? Are we sure this isn't satire vid of the game??"
