@@TwentyDollars1738 He and jo played it in 2019 on Alpharad Plus and it broke in the first episode. They posted a second video a couple days later and it ended in another crash. They tried the first game in 2020 (Paper Mario: Year 2) and it once again softlocked in the first ten minutes.

@@TwentyDollars1738 that's a miss (Just kidding,it's just like what the other person said;I'm a bit late to this but i'll add context of the meme born from their Mario Party Superstar era,like,I believe it started with the Bowser "Hit!" and "Miss" stickers and it spread to saying stuff like "Yooo,hidden block! that's a hit" or "[Gets star] everyone else: that's a miss"; if that doesn't help refresh the memory,there was also the rather infamous,Yoshi "WHAT?!" where he looks like he's getting backshots [I'm not kidding], I believe they where laughing for 10+ minutes after spamming the Yoshi "WHAT?!" + others that combined great with it [Waluigi's "What?" looks quite funny if it's lined up properly with Yoshi's],to the point they agreed on not using it to not die of oxygen depravation,or smthn;and can I just say, I know it's meant to be a groan or something, but, uh, it doesn't look quite right)

Fun Fact, this game only got Miyamoto's approval to be made MAINLY because the devs made a tech demo showing off a crowd of 1000 characters on screen at once because they could do that on gamecube with flat 2D characters. So it wasn't the story, it wasn't the gameplay, it wasn't the aesthetic or even the music that got Miyamoto to sign on, it was simply he loved seeing CROWDS in each chapter, which is also why your battle system is a CROWD in a Theater. They literally played on his love of showmanship and being in front of a crowd to get this game made. Don't believe me? Look up the Game Dev Story Time.

I agree, though I think they went a little overboard with the SSRs, places like Rougueport are suppose to feel grungy and worn down, yet all the surfaces look polished to a mirror finish. I personally wish they would've saved the reflections for things like water or for materials that are supposed to be reflective. Oh well, it's only a minor gripe in an otherwise GORGEOUS remake!
