@@KaitoTheRamenBandit I can see someone drawing this conclusion, especially since the trailer doesn't explicitly estate he and Na'el are siblings (This is only said in the Bios shared on twitter and in the official site), otherwise this would probably be enough to clarify the situation. Edit: Although now that I think about it, since their kid was already kinda grown up by the time of N and M's death, they could technically be hiding a younger sister existing somehow, and it would also make sense that Noah would warn someone from the City to come and take care of their child after his passing. So this interpretation could theoretically still be proven true, but who knows!

One thing I noticed with both Shulk and Rex is that they take influence from their party members, Shulk has a prosthetic arm, that being his right, the same arm Dunban lost use of due to the monado, and Shulk is more fitting a tank role, like Reyn. As for Rex, he fights like Morág and is missing his left eye, the same eye as the eye of shining justice

I don’t think he’s super fixated on the lore. He knows the games story, but I don’t think he’s piecing together every little thing or watching lore breakdowns. He just interprets whatever he plays and that’s probably the end of his train of thought. Maybe he reads some theories online.

To be fair xenoblade lore is pretty complicated so it's easy to get lost in it all. I understand xenoblade 1 and 2 pretty well but 3 is a whole other beast, I understand the metaphorical parts of it but I still really don't understand why the world's attempted to even merge in the first place, and what origin really was meant to be (like I think it was what was meant to bridge the 2 worlds together before moebius froze the world with it? Idk). Maybe the dlc will clear some things up though.

@@darcidious99 The worlds were originally one, so they were attempting to become one again but this would destroy everything living on both worlds. Origin was supposed to hold everyone’s soul and recreate the two worlds after the destruction. Basically it was gonna make it as if nothing ever happened with the merging. Like if two cars are headed towards a head on collision, origin removes the two drivers. After the crash happens, origin would make exact copies of the car and put the drivers back in, but this time they would be past the point where they crashed into each other making it look like they just passed each other. Origin was never meant to merge the two worlds or anything that’s just a misunderstanding many people have with it’s purpose

"I wish they died at the end of 2, I think its cooler when characters die" Character death is one of the most difficult things to do in story telling. If Pyra and Mythra needlessly died at the end of 2, it would have felt really phoned in and ruined the ending.

Character death is only hard to do meaningfully. In fact, killing off a character meaninglessly is so easy that writers use it as a shortcut to evoke cheap emotion from their audience. That's why many people say that great authors can evoke sadness without describing death or trauma. Anyways, the whole point of reaching Elysium was for Pneuma to ask The Architect to kill her because of her regret for destroying Torna and her fear of doing it again. I think sacrificing herself to save the future world would've been a perfect way to wrap up her story. To me the whole game felt like it was leading up to Pneuma sacrificing herself for the world, so I was very upset when she got revived last minute for no narrative purpose. At the very least, they could've had her revive as Pneuma to show Pyra (Who was born of Mythra's regrets) and Mythra (Who sees Pyra as everything she is not and can not be) had accepted each other and fully become one. Then it at least would've rounded out their character arcs. But now that we know XC3 was planned during XC2's development, I wouldn't be surprised if they let Pyra and Mythra survive (and separate) only so they could have Rex dual wield the Aegis Swords in the DLC.

@@Snowstorm... I read an excellent analysis long ago regarding the reason why it makes sense for Pyra and Mythra to be revived. Their sacrifice fake-out was meant to teach Rex that he couldn't do everything by himself. He wasted Vandham's sacrifice because he refused to run away, and his visions of Addam chastise him for trying to greedily protect everyone. This is so deep-set in his character that he still refused to abandon Pneuma by demanding Poppi to help him. It would undermine this arc because if they actually stayed dead, Rex truly did fail in trying to protect them, and it would cast doubt on whether he made the right choice to leave her. It also works in regards to Pyra and Mythra themselves. Their growth involved finding purpose in life, a place to belong, and the resolve to live even with the horrible power of being an Aegis. It would render their development futile if they die. The major theme of Xenoblade 2 is survival. Klaus trying to find a way to revive a dying world, Rex trying to find a way to live even with the world aging, and the Aegises alongside Torna finding a purpose to an unending life. Nihilism is the enemy, which was evident in Amalthus, Malos, and even Rex and Pyra/Mythra themselves. Our heroes surviving in every sense shows that they won.

Ghondor = N and M's Son A lot of people seem to be having trouble figuring this out, probably because Shulk and Rex are here, so to clarify some things I've noticed: Shulk, Rex and Riku are not part of the City originally like Mathew or Ghondor is-- originally they come from a Faction known as the Liberators. The Liberators have 3 confirmed members; Shulk, Rex, and Riku. None of these Members should be able to exist at this point in the timeline. Not only is Mathew the descendent of the last version of Noah, who became N, due to Ghondor's appearance we can presume somewhere around 100ish years have already passed, making it virtually impossible for either Shulk or Rex to be alive right now. Furthermore, we see the descendents of 3 characters, now all grown up: Nicole, Glimmer, and (as her name apparently is) Panacea. Panacea looks like Sharla, and has a weapon with the same design aesthetic as Reyn's Scrap Driver. We can thus presume that the reason why we don't see characters like Zeke or Dunban, or anyone else from the past games, is because they were the ones who made the original city with Nia and Melia, at the start of Aionious, and probably because of Alvis, our 3 known Liberators: Shulk, Rex and Riku, ended up somewhere further down the timeline than everyone else. Obviously, as can be concluded by most people, the biggest problem with this is that the descendents such as Nicole, Glimmer, and most notably Panacea are too young to be a Hundred years down the timeline. While Nicole and Glimmer can work because they could've just been trapped in the endless now-- Panacea is shown to be some kind of military leader for the City, meaning she's not part of the cycle. Obviously I have no idea why this is, but I can assume a few possibilities; She may have been in the cycle for a while before being freed by the City, or she could just be a more distant descendent of Sharla and Reyn, like a Grandchild or Great Grandchild. Unrelated note; at 5:55 anyone else notice where 'A' is at when she's talking? _Very Interesting_

He'll they literally could have copied Noah into Shulk and it'd work perfectly fine cuz Noah's class is already basically Shulk
