Yeah, there’s actually a rule called Noctowl clause that most nuzlockers use, which specifically prohibits that. As for breeding other Pokémon, Noctowl’s the only one that would be worth duplicating, so it just doesn’t come up.

I feel like ideally you would be forced to just use your least favorite pokemon and grow some kind of affection for the pokemon who you have otherwise been looking down on, but it'd be hard to get people to be honest. Maybe another run where you just get all the most meh and unnotable pokemon who are usually just overlooked and seldom used, but it'd be hard to get something definitive for that, since anyone who is top of the list for being boring immediately starts becoming interesting. Maybe jan could do stats on which pokemon are the least used in nuzlocks.
