The official life-size Pokemon plushies are wild in concept. Like, they're products that are typically made for children, of characters from a children's video game with a price that no child could soundly justify or convince their parent to get them (like a gaming console would be hard enough, I can't imagine little Timmy trying to convince his parents to get him a $400 stuffed animal), and all the preview photos are clearly of these adult people in these Ikea-ass houses. I went to look-up what the other ones were, there's a lot more than I initially thought; the easiest way to find them among the sea of plushies, sort them from highest price to lowest. Most expensive is a 5ft Mareep at $500; I'm not the biggest fan of Mareep, but it's very tempting; I know someone who loves Mareep and the whole Ampharos line, so she would buy one in an instant if she had that kind of money. The 6ft Arcanine and 7ft Furret are also both very tempting. All the starters are probably life-size or pretty close (there's a 3ft Piplup, holy shit), but it's not as much as a statement these absolute units of cartoon animals the size of actual people are.

In that hypothetical, Sega would probably still be in the console market too. Sony’s massive success in the 5th and 6th generations definitely played a huge part in Sega’s fall. Certain companies were just done with Nintendo’s draconian policies so they might have just jumped ship to the Saturn just because that would have been the only other option in terms of consoles (Mac would have just been considered PC gaming anyway).
