ALPHRED2: Autonomous Legged Personal Helper Robot with Enhanced Dynamics
Unofficial video of RoMeLa's newest robot ALPHRED2.
ALPHRED2 is a multi-modal locomotion robot that can walk with 4 legs, 2 legs, hop, run, roll, and even use it's limbs for picking up objects or pushing buttons. It is fast (1.5 m/s) and can walk stably on uneven rough terrain. ALPHRED2 is powered by RoMeLa's BEAR (Back-drivable Electromechanical Actuator for Robots) actuators which is compliant and force controlled.

It has the best actuators in the world and the best comedians of the neighbourhood keeping company! This couldn't be any better, if only you made preprogrammed motion paths more curvy and less straight-liny at 1:45 Have you looked into machine learning by the way? Seeing how flexible motors are, makes me wonder if it is also a good analogy of softish body of an animal, which has kinda easy to master controls for a neural network

If you want to improve the wow factor work on the noise and quiet it down. With all the mechanical noise it is distracting from your accomplishments. People that could be interested in this will be turned off by the unpolished le el of noise. Don't get me wrong this is great but I am just giving you some suggestions to help you turn heads.
