@@AdvancedInCarTechnologies Hey, my car is not registered in the uk, it is a 2011 volkswagen scirocco, with the smaller-screened head unit from factory, but I have buttons for volume on the steeringwheel, and my ac and all that looks the same in my car as in this video. It also has a parking sensor which was showing on that screen but can’t get it up on my alpine

What about sound quality? Why so many reviews like this misses what's probably the most important part of car audio? 🙄 All the bells and whistles of Car Play and Android Auto won't mean anything without a unit that can deliver excellent audio quality.

Hello Paulo, Thank you for getting in touch! Here is some information off our website: Enjoy Excellent Sound Quality with iLX-705D: Featuring a 56-band Parametric EQ in the advanced mode, a 2-way digital X-over, 6-channel digital time correction and several Bass Engine SQ and MediaXpander sound tuning options, you have excellent tools at your disposal to tune your iLX-705D and the attached amp/speaker system to perfection. But we didn’t stop there: The iLX-705D is Hi-Res Audio certified and can decode and playback Hi-Res Audio files up to 96kHz / 1.536 kbps from USB sources in uncompressed supported formats such as FLAC, WAV and APE. I hope this provides the answer you’re looking for. Kind regards, Advanced In-Car Team

@@AdvancedInCarTechnologies I appreciate your answer but that's only writing down the equipment specs, it's not a review about the audio quality of said equipment. 🙄

I've added a usb and HDMI extension to the front which perfectly replaced the USB and aux jack in my nissan juke. So from there I've plugged in an Amazon Fire stick which I have connected to my phones data. So now I have Amazon prime, video and music, Disney+, Netflix, Spotify, KZbin...etc... its all fast and hi res quality... and so the HDMI port is not wasted

Hello Eric, Thank you for getting in touch! We don't believe this is a UK model that we've worked on so your best bet would be to double check with Alpine directly. Kind regards, Advanced In-Car Team

Where did you connect the power cable (usb) from amazon fire stick to? To 12v port for the cigarette?

Pity the illuminated buttons can't be changed from Blue to Red to match the car's interior colour 😤

These displays look terrible and still feel horribly dated, I swear they must cost like a dollar to make.
