i have seen there is a special set for alfa romeo giulietta 940 Alpine ILX 702D with vehicle settings specific for Alfa Romeo can this model do the same ? and the same question can you change the color of the buttons

from what I've tested (had both radios, ilx-702d and ilx-705d) car integration wokrs, front parking sensors work only in ilx-702d, you can change buttons backlight color only in ilx-702d. The KIT-7AR-940 cables are somewhat compatible, you have to change almost all of the plugs (only power/speakers plug on the radio stays the same between these two radios, even the gps plug is different) you have to swap pins with plugs from ilx-705d default kit :/

I just installed and configured this radio, and nope, it does not have the internal microphone (compared to ilx-702d, however the external one is included)

Just got this having problems with the Apple CarPlay just dosent want to connect. I have an iphone13 just cant work out why anyone else having issues??

Did you resolve your issue? I’m hunting for answers myself. If I reset the head unit then my phone (iPhone 12 Pro) connects and Car Play works, but it does not connect next time I use the car, even if I remove my phone from the device list and reconnect it. Only a head unit reset seems to work.

Looks like it's a common problem with Carplay across nearly every receiver. Try this: -Turn off the car for 1 min. -Disconnect the iPhone from the cable -Turn on the radio (with the car) and plug the phone, making sure that it's unlocked beforehand.

hey there, could you please give us information about the eq settings? i saw that the eq settings are the most flexible ones that i know so far. and can you compare this unit with a pioneer unit for sound quality and the features that they have? thanks.

How is the automatic dimming function? Does it work smoothly in the car? I have a kenwood head unit which doesn't provide this functionallity. It is only connected to the lights, and dimms when the headlights are switched on.

@@JordiHermsen96 Looking at some compatibility issues with parking sensors and few drawbacks on functionalities; nope, would not recommend upgrading. It's faster, more responsive, better image, does not have internal microphone, cannot change buttons backlight color, I have some problems with front parking sensors, time sync with car, cannot change bootscreen. Alpine official told me to wait for updates.

You can choose 8 different colour combinations blue,amber and white are 3 of them

from what I've tested - the middle buttons color cannot be changed, it's permanent color in plastic (compared to ilx-702d where you could change backlight color)

@@MarkovichThe1 sorry I was reading from the manual that’s on alpines website.the 2 things I’m trying to find out is will they be releasing a 705DM version(with the wiring connections at top)and can you change the opening screen like you can with the 702d

The Android Auto is wireless... You just need a compatible wireless Android phone
