This review is really really helpful. I bought one right away after watching your review from eBay with $24 free shipping. The mute I have been having is a tiny small rubber mute that dangling on the string making annoy sound while violin is being played. I'm going to give this one a try once I receive it. The sound you demoed with the mute was amazing. Thanks a lot!

I bought one and it slides almost instantly down from the bridge when I play because it's so loose and the vibrations make it move

Jackson , I bought one, too, but will return it, because it doesn’t work at all on my violin. I found a cheaper mute, which works perfectly now.

Hi , this is a great review I just have question is this really effective as the metal one or not I remember you mentioned the cons of the metal mute but still since I'm a beginner and I live with my roommate next door is it better to have the metal one or this one instead

Metal Mute is only for practice. This particular one is not a practice mute. This mute is for solo/orchestra performances.
