I'm using this since August 2014... Just made it's sole repaired for £37... I have about 15 000 miles in it and about at least a 100-300+ miles walked. Brilliant stuff, really comfy easy all-day wear! I'm wearing it all year around, only with cotton socks. Have to say, its inside is just as brilliant as ever! barely any wear in it! I am sure, that I will buy this again in time it's upper bits fail that can't be repaired. Don't think many shoe repair shops would carry around gore-tex;))))

Subscribed. Appreciate all your reviews. Can anyone please briefly explain how the gore-Tex liner would help vent steam/moisture through the leather part of the boot? Seems like the leather would be a barricade...

The leather is actually quite breathable. Would you say that given a certain size that these boots are wider compared to let's say the roam 2?

All three have very similar high quality construction and performance. The main differences are in fit. Of the three, Dainese is the narrowest. Then while TCX is normally wider, the X-Five EVO is a medium width. Then the Alpinestars Web Boots are slightly wider than average. If you wear good summerweight wicking socks (non-cotton), they're ok for summer riding. I'd rather have warm feet than wet feet, which is why I always wear waterproof boots. -DrewZilla

I still wear the original Web GTX. I just came back from a 3-day trip to Pennsylvania in late September 2017 where it was 100 degrees all 3 days. I also wore them on trips to Tail of the Dragon during the hottest days in previous summers. Like Drew said, I'd rather have warm feet than wet and/or cold feet. Don't forget leather and Gore-Tex are breathable. These are excellent waterproof motorcycle boots for a decent price. If price isn't a concern, I would recommend the Daytona Road Star GTX.
