Good review. Means alot coming from an experienced western hunter. We are going to be elk hunting more in future so myself & my sons are needing quality mountain gear. We don't need much in the midwest & great lakes area for whitetail. But we are starting to look at packs like this. Thank you.

Used the pack for a couple of seasons now myself and the one issue I have is the pack is loud in cold weather.. not sure if it was covered in this review but the pack squeeks in cold weather when active.

Do you know how large of a water bladder the hybrid X can hold? so far that detail hasn't come up, even on the Alps website :/

I have this bag and just used it for archery season. It is loud. It creaks when I walk and it creaks when im sitting and just taking deep breaths. I love the set up and design but it is too noisy for hunting. I would not recommend it.

Fair enough. I never used mine in a stand but did notice it can creak while hiking. Its getting a little quieter with use. The outdoorz traverse eps I have was much quieter out of the box.
