Right now I'd like to call "functionally bedbound". She can still get up to eat, use the bathroom, perhaps bathe herself the best she can, when she does, but most of her day is laying down in between those tasks. Completely bedbound is not able to walk at all. She can still walk, but who knows for how long.

I have 2 rabbits myself and they are beyond delicate!! Most people font realize they are considered exotic and a regular vet usually is useless especially in an emergency situation. I will have to tap out if God forbid this happens. It hits way too close to home. I feel ill thinking about it.

Since somehow I'm actually retaining a lot of stuff the chat and FFG explain about Kuwait, I was able to hold a genuine conversation with a coworker who's from Iraq and said Kuwait and Iraq are similar cultures, but Kuwait is a lot more strict. I was able to ask her questions, and she seemed genuinely happy explaining her culture to someone. She came over when she was 2, and her brother was 3 from fleeing the war, so her parents are very old-fashioned views on relationships and marriage. She explained that being engaged is basically the equivalent to dating, and you can take as long as you like to get to know them that way and decide if you want to marry. When I explained a little of what I learned here she said she was grateful she wasn't from Kuwait since they're even more strict with marriages and stuff and she said "every time I think it's bad, I know other people have it worse," which just made me wonder more how chantal is skating by so far

Idk about other Countries, but in the US at least... ESP when first getting it, you are given one month of insulin. They want to ensure you are going to go to the diabetes/nutrition counseling AND that you make a one month follow up appt. At that appt, they want you to bring your glucose meter, ensure you are testing morning/fasting, before & then 2hrs after meals. They'll check the numbers & then, if needed, adjust the levels of insulin you are administering. Can only imagine it's the same, if not worse... for someone on a visitors visa!!!! Prob why she hasn't made those appts (Plus, they cost $ out of pocket) AND.... the insulin, IF she's even still complying by taking it.. will be soon gone & she won't take it after 30 days! So when someone asked when her next ER beeze/come to Jesus moment will be? Betting very soon.
