I want to add this to the video in the form of a comment - I doubt that shot is how they reveal Abby is a Firefly in the show. I don't think they're THAT reckless. This video is mostly about the trailer on its own. Trailers are very important, and if the team working on this show cared more, this would not have been shown. I say this in the video, but I just wanted to double down and clarify I'm not trying to apply this to the whole season. Just the decisions of the creators to this point and in this trailer. That is all.

I think that abby scene is abbys nightmare in the cabin when we first see her. I really dont think people that arent in the know, wont figure it out prematurely. They kiled the first season. Lets just trust them until they give us a reason to not. Not enough here to be worried.

The people who didnt watch the show cant connenct her in the hospital and the grawe. Remember, me and you we know for who the grawe is but for people that didn't watch it. How could they know and how could they know that she is trying to find person in hospital that is already dead. ,,They know she lost somebody that day'' And how they know that. These cuts from the trailer could have happened at any different time. To sum up no, they are not careless as you can see from other comments. Also Craig Mazin isnt alone because Neil is there.

I’m giving Neil the benefit of the doubt here. I love TLOU1 and 2 and think Uncharted 4 is great so I have a hard time believing it was him who dropped the ball so hard on season 1

@jakemediababy more like dropped a mic. Saw some people that were like Bella or Pedro don't look like characters in the game. Or that the show didn't precisely follow the events of the game. But it's well made, watched with my parents and they asked me: ,,this is based on a video game?''. Show was one of the most watched HBO series and won many awards as I heard. Would like to hear what is the problem for you in first season.

@franemasnic5323 I don't care that much that bella and pedro don't look exactly like the game models and I also don't care that the show doesn't follow the events of the game to a T. I think the Bill and Frank episode is by far the best of the season, and that's because they fit more character development into that episode for Bill and Frank then they did in the whole show for Joel and Ellie, lol. So my problem with the first season is that I think Joel and Ellie are extremely underdeveloped compared to their game counterparts when a better writer could've pulled off exactly what the game does, differences and all.

I think they might be playing it safe. Dumbing it down for tv viewers and making sure they dont completely f*ck up again. But the problem with that is it will be extremely predictable making it boring.

I dont get how some people are SO connected to these IPs, i see people loosing their minds over TLOU, star wars, and even warhammer, and its honestly kinda funny the idea of beeing a bastion of some IP

Star Wars is kind of an adult baby thing like people who really like Star Wars like it because they watched it when they were kids. Warhammer is cool because it has so much aesthetic and vibe and lore that it’s genuinely a pretty interesting piece of culture/art. I also think it’s pretty rare something like Warhammer is created in America. I personally am this passionate about TLOU because I believe the characters are so well written they achieve a very very rare standard in video game writing and I also just enjoy the games overall. Great music and atmosphere. Sometimes you just find that you gravitate to certain things.

the game sucks so bad after Joel's death at some point I forgot about being mad about him being dead. it gets so boring and tiring for so long and it feels like game forgot about it needs to end at some point. it made me care less and less about Ellie while didn't make me like Abby. So maybe the show not trying so hard to be soo clever about this lazy af twist is not such a bad thing. maybe they can fix it this time, even if Joel dies again.
