about the second song, which is called bug, by kairiki bear: project sekai (colorful stage) is a rhythm game which includes existing vocaloid songs and also commissions vocaloid artists to create songs for the game's events (about every 2 weeks). with commissioned songs, there is often the vocaloid version that the artist releases on their own channel, and the "sekai version", which features the characters in the game (who are voiced by well, real voice actors/singers). the one you listened to is the sekai version, so you heard one of the groups in the game, "nightcord at 25:00" along with one vocaloid, kagamine len! (the yellow-haired character) the fully vocaloid version is on kairiki bear's channel, and is sung only using hatsune miku so technically yes, you saw a vocaloid song that combines real voices and vocaloid literally right before roki!

Fun fact! Vocaloids have a kind of sub-genre(?) where its human singers covering the song (and a lot of english translations, like will stetson or jubyphonic) and often they add more flare to the songs to differentiate their covers, some people add rap verses in between the actual verses (like Trickle does in really a lot of songs, but the verses i like most are in his cover of Envy Baby, Kanaria) and others adlib over instrumental only parts (like KanKan in Venom, Kariki bear) and i find those singers so very cool too!

I like to think of vocaloid as art in general and each producer is like an artist, they experiment and have themes often and often have signature bits to their work. Vocaloid voice banks are just like a tool they use and even when they use the same tool, you can't often say the art pieces look the same. Especially when cover artists sing the songs too, they put their own spin....vocaloid is just like that and I have loved it since I was young. Some have themes about feelings (Kikuo = impassionate sadness or strong attachment) while others have similar stories in general (the seven deadly sins vocaloid stories) and some have similar art forms to show off the music (Eve music videos)

you should do a full video solemnly on kikuo's stuff! his talent is INSANE (keep an eye out for the lyrics after, tho!) edit: maretu has some bangers too!

Yes I'm so glad you went back to vocaloid! But now I need more so... Kikuo is such a great artist and could have an entire video just for himself

If you wanna hear more of vocaloid and human singing together, similar to what we had with ROKI, i recommend pretty much any song by pinocchioP! He does basically all the backing vocals for his songs

There NEEDS to be a full video doing Kikuo songs He has such a recognizable style that’s incredibly hard to describe- more so a darker feeling for most of the songs, but if I had to recommend some songs - Hole Dwelling - Let’s go to Heaven (Tengoku he Ikou) - Dance of the Corpses - Don’t Look at Me in that Way and finally - Welcome to Star’s Inn

Oh! Interesting fact about Kanaria is that for their Gumi songs, they use Gumi’s English voicebank which if you literally closely you can hear how that adds a unique texture to the pronunciation

I would love if he listened to the Servant of Evil vocaloid series, it's what got me into vocaloid in the first place and I'd love to see his opinion on it.

If you ever go down the rabbit hole of human voices backed up by vocaloid voices, I'd definetely recommend Why Do I by Set It Off x Hatsune Miku tuned by CircusP. Its interesting to hear Miku singing in English when not many convert her "voice" over into other languages. It came out last year. Looking forward to see how much more Vocaloid synthesizers will impact the music industry.

Definitely recommend in a deep, dark forest, also by Kikuo. I've had it on repeat for days now.
@calebgoodman3028 Жыл бұрын
Kikuo is pretty well known for making cute sounding songs with really dark and vague lyrics. The way Miku sings the song here is so soft that I actually mistook her for Kaai Yuki, since Yuki actually is a child vocaloid with soft vocals.
@SJohann Жыл бұрын
12:18 Fun Fact about this. Vocaloids have separate voicebanks which are usually more optimized for different languages (Mainly Japanese and English, though certain Vocaloids have Chinese or Spanish ones.) Kanaria used the English GUMI voicebank for the entire song, which explains how good the English pronunciation is.

I'd highly recommend the multiple King covers from Hololive. Practically every member of Hololive has a cover of King and they are all both absolutely amazing and unique compared to each other.

There are hundreds of King covers from Vtubers, not just Hololive. Silver Status made a playlist of all the King covers and there's 300+ right now. kzbin.info/aero/PLnSRoTod43M-NocGWABXSGbQ4HLVzhGKd

@queenofdragons_1244 Жыл бұрын
So what I’m getting is that in the cat one the child is lonely and mad at the adults who did nothing about it, didn’t talk to them or anything. As well as the children who are basically none existent because they are never there. So they hate the world because they’re lonely and sad. It’s just them and the cat. I don’t know if this is correct but I relate to this heavily even if it’s wrong. I’ve never heard the song before and I’m typing this when he hasn’t finished it lol.
