I think what killed Machamp and Conkeldurr on Masters was the introduction of Zacian and Xerneas, fairies that can't take super effective damage from their rock or now dark moves. If Toxicroak was as strong as them he'd probably be part of the Master League meta like they once were. Annihilape can't really do much stuff to the fairies, although Counter is only single resisted instead of double like Togekiss... and they don't use charm which can help. Still a master league level fighter with a good poison coverage move that doesn't take too long to charge and it's good would be crazy

Hi Zyonik, great video as always! May I suggest trying out Close combat on Annihilape in a few battles. Just Fyi, Moonblast is 10% and it was 30%. :) July 27, 2020 Effect chance: 30% → 10%

For the "Great League," I use my Poliwrath, Annihilape, and Charizard. Not Bad🙌🏾💯👏🏾👏🏾

I haven't tried Annihilape yet. Have an good one for Great League (something like 3, 14, 13 and powers up to 1498, and trying to decide between two for Ultra League. I am sort of trying to wait out the surge of Annihilape users and I am playing UL teams that have good counters for it (like Golisopod, Dragalge as a soft-counter, Charizard and Talonflame[2493-4*] - and building teams around Pokemon like those). I haven't lost to a team with Annihilape on it yet - which is also another reason I haven't tried it. I keep whooping it too easily.

Is it better to have a 2-star mon with CP almost maxed out on league (1500, 2500) or a 3-star mon with lower CP?

Hundos are generally not recommended for builds unless you need level 50 anyway. Ideally you want low attack and high defense and HP always so it's less about the number of stars and more the distribution of stats

@user-ru5cm1tn8x Attack "hogs" the CP product, so if you have a pokemon with high attack it will hit the Maximum allowed cp for GL or UL at a lower level. This will mean that the actual stat values (especially for defense and HP) will be much lower than they could be which in tight match-ups, might make all the difference

Haven't checked and this has probably been shared, but I was able to get my 30 in to evolve in less than 15 min by fighting one ghost rocket balloon and quitting each time after beating the first 2 mons and then repeating the process.

At first, I had cresselia dewgong with an annihilate for great legause, went 1 battle with registeel and ursaring but then went with greedant instead and had a nice run doing so. Love that primape got the love it deserved

Love the content! I’m kind of at a loss right now. Did extremely well in fantasy cop, got really close to veteran level. Now in the opens, I am just a new loss. I no longer know what to run. No matter what I do I seem to get countered. Not blaming the algorithm, but the meta is definitely NOT in my favor right now. Also I am at a loss as to how to use annihilape. It is so glassy that neutral damage hits it hard. And almost everything is neutral or super effective against it.

I went to pvpoke to rate my 3/7/7 Annihilape for great league and I found out that it wins 24 battles and loses 18, then I rated the rank 1 (2/15/15) and it wins 22 and loses 20🤷🏻‍♂️

Just yesterday, I hit Expert rank for the first time ever with my Ultra League team of Pidgeot, Shadow Ampharos, and Virizion! It turns out, not only does everyone run Poliwrath in the back, but they also like to run Jellicents too, so my lineup corebroke soooo many teams. The new addition of annihilape doesn't exactly wreck this team either. I ran this team for aboout 4 days, and only ever played 2 negative sets!

Zyonik uses pretty much anything. Just look at his Poliwrath, it's rank 1792. But he's also insanely good and can get away with it, unlike most of us. Personally, I won't use anything that isn't top 25 in rank, unless it's insanely rare or a weird exception where you can be a rank 50 or something while getting away with a very high attack stat to help win CMPs. But I'm very patient and am also willing to spend millions of stardust on legendary trades to get the best IVs. In the end, if you're good you can do whatever you want and not really worry. If not, it's up to your level of patience. Can you wait for a better Mankey? Even if it means months or another year? Up to you.
