+ Vidya Hiremath Please don't insult Dr. Rahul Desikan by invoking any god of any religion. This is what he said about god in an E-mail in April 2018 to his friends: "“Your love is my savior, not some bs god in heaven." www.bu.edu/articles/2019/rahul-desikan-als-research/

My cousin passed away from this disease, on March 28, 2022, he had it about 4 years since the nerve injury, if only he went to the Hospital much earlier, his death would have been prevented. 🥺

This is genanic he didn’t get Als from a nerve injury
@erenjeager94427 ай бұрын
@@moryahnelson3548 he been having that pain for 5 years, and I read in medical article that says nerve injury can cause ALS, if it has been treated medically or if no treatment, then death will come.

Maybe if they’d start trying to find a cure using human-relevant science instead of animals they might end this horrible disease

Raul was a gentle giant in high school... nicest guy, always loved to have a good time, hang out playing sports, and doing the most wholesome things in a big, bad city. He was ridiculously strong and surpringly athletic. Didn't know he was this brilliant. Rest in peace my man.

Absolute inspiration. Horrible disease. I truly hope he can help find a cure and if he cannot hes still an amazing human. Life's hard as is, I cannot fathom what this would feel like.

With a ventilator this illness is not deadly, why are more people not getting this option. Calling ALS deadly is inaccurate to large degree this needs to change. Steve Gleason wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the ventilation. So the question stands are these people not being offered this choice.

The questions are so unfair. How does the interviewer think it feels for him not to be able to hold his children.

I'd like to know how long he had symptoms prior to dx. Sometimes ppl have noticed a slow steady quiet decline but have no clue what was happening, often they just brush it off. What is his story?
