There are case studies that 48 people have reversed ALS completely. I have had Bulbar , ALS for 1 year and 4 months. For Bulbar, life expectancy is less than two years.

I'm so sorry my SIL died after 14 months diagnosis. She has a 17 year old son and 13 daughter this Lou Gehrigs is more rare but more progressive. Its also genetic. My SIL had a grandmother and cousin die of it too. So we are now worrying about my niece and nephew.

Look up Dr Bedlack at Duke University. He is studying ALS reversals. So it is rare, but people do live normal full lives. But most people are gone within the first 2 years.
