The fact that a team can be actively having one of the best regular seasons ever and the media is barely discussing it shows that they are a far bigger problem with the league than playstyles. Market your league!

It's the algorithm if you really are thinking about it it's not because they all just so happen to be working on the same video one guy made their video the other one made next one the algorithm starts picking it up so then they all come in at the same time, It's the reason news channels exist even on KZbin and even drama in communities.

i just dont get it mr buckets i was told the cavs, like every other team in the NBA, shoot 500 3s a game with no diversion, how come we didnt see all those 3s?? Did you hide them from us??

Top 5 in 3s shot this season
@peacefulwarrior951811 сағат бұрын
They still shoot a lot of 3s. But the offense really starts at the rim and the 3s they shoot are open. That's why they lead the league in 3 point percentage.
@antoniojohnson23252Күн бұрын
If you took Steve Nash, had him work harder on defense (despite still being a mid to bad defender), and had him shoot with more volume, his name would be Darius Garland. I’ve had this take since 2021
@andresdelbusto21846 сағат бұрын
Another example of double bigs lineup being successful was the last year Twolves with Gobert and KAT. Sadly, it just had a lower ceiling due to Gobert offensive limitations Still, it's a difficult line up to achieve, but will be interesting how it evolves from here

I think it’s kinda interesting that the cavs are one of the first true point guard/combo guard duo led teams to be majorly successful. Certainly their defensive specialist big men are helping their prolificness so to speak, but I would argue the synergy between garland and Mitchell along with their deep bench and quality coaching and strong defense, the cavs are potentially creating a new successful archetype of team in more evolutionary terms.
@mr.crispyfriedchicken3946Күн бұрын
Idk where the cutoff for "majorly successful" is, but I feel as though the 2017-2018 rockets deserve a mention in this conversation. 65 wins and that's with Chris Paul only playing 58 games. While they weren't as good as the cavs are now they're definitely of the same ilk
@q.7556Күн бұрын
@ yeah for sure that’s also an honorable mention. We shall see how the rest of the season turns out for the cavs, but they are clearly the best team in the nba, and one of the best teams from the east of the past 5 years or so

DAMN! Every person in the meda / internet basically gave OKC no shot after a knee-jerk reaction to an injury. OKC really is that great. Until SGA & Jalen also get injured at the same time as I-Hart & Chet together, you cannot just assume that anyone is gonna sweep the Thunder. Especially when this team is 18-2 @ Home and have lost 1 game in the last 20. Sure, I-Hart is an impactful player, but their strength is in turnovers & in numbers.

In regards to the tangent about Jaylen Brown's 3PT Shooting and the Celtics' offense in general: Yes, the Celtics emphasize generating open threes, but Jaylen Brown himself doesn't need to be a sniper. His role within this offense is to either attack the rim off the catch or out of the post or set action in order to collapse the defense to create the threes or just get a bucket.

I think this double big lineup is the future as we saw how successful Minnesota was with it, and how well Cleveland is doing with it this year, I think the thing that will truly unlock its success is having two defensive ace bigs that can shoot, Minnesota ran into issues with Rudy’s spacing and I feel Cleveland will run into that issue in the post season with Jarret Allen, I want to see a pairing like AD and Myles turner or JJJ with Wemby, I think having 2 6’10+ defensive bigs who can shoot will be the new meta. It’s just going to be a hard thing to achieve because getting 1 is already hard enough to do

You want to talk? Talk about Donovan disappearing during big games. He has a track record now. Check out all his big games. The lighter the lights, the dimmer he gets. Then he’s temperamental. You never know what’s going on in his head. Donovan Dimitchel will be the Cavs downfall. He single handedly lost the first year to the Knicks. Again a terrible outing. Then last year, it disappeared again. Maybe I’ll call him Hodinivan Mitchell. Watch him disappear! Just when I was beginning to trust him, he’s doing it again. This is his way of pouting about something.

Not super wild. Barkley has an MVP but IMO his best season (which isn't even his MVP season) is still worse than AD'S best season. AD has had the weirdest luck when it comes to injuries and award races and I sincerely believe not all of it is his fault.
