@zacharyhill he is talking about the last scenes from Léon: The Proffesional, "put the grenade pin in your hand" is talking about how he blew himself up amd the baddies. "this is from Matilda" refferencing Natalie Portman's character Mathilda. Also "Leon" is about that movie :-)

The first time I heard this song I thought it was ridiculous. It was annoying, my friend would play it on repeat and all id hear was 'da-da-da-da-tildaaaaaaa' Then I started to find it funny and so therefore tolerable and nostalgic. In case you haven't managed to crack it yet by using tabs, you should definitely give learning it by ear a go. Watch his finger picking and left hand fretting, and listen to the notes as clearly as you can, it'll help develop your ears by a long shot and ability to pick things up by ear and directly translate what you hear onto the guitar. Some advice, but it has been a year so you've probably got it down by now :)
