The heaviest Japanese band I know is Deviloof (also vkei) which is deathcore. I’d say Madmans Esprit is second, but only a few of their songs are very heavy and those are melodic, slow, black-metal-like songs which I don’t think is what you’re looking for. As far as non-vkei, Bloodbath is not bad as far as regular death metal is concerned
